Derma Roller!

Anyone have any experience with this particular skin care regimen?

How have you reacted to it and what are the changes you’ve seen?

Would you recommend it? Why or why not?

Re: Derma Roller!

I have been meaning to get one for a while, but there are so many out there, have heard more positives than negative…but the results are move visible after continuous use for months

Re: Derma Roller!

I got a dermaroller a while back but was too scared to use it (needles in general scare me)..

Re: Derma Roller!

Same here :frowning:

Injections scare me. But somehow…the derma roller not so much.

Re: Derma Roller!

I’m scared of needles. :lb:

Re: Derma Roller!

My dermaroller has quite long needles.. I can’t remember what length they are but I bought it specifically because it was supposed to lead to better absorption of creams etc..

Just looking at the thing scares me tho..

I hate injections in general and will only have them when there’s an absolute need.. I use Emla or some other numbing cream beforehand..

Re: Derma Roller!

I used to hate needles but I have gotten over it recently to a large extent.

I want to try it since its supposed to help with tightening of the skin, better absorption of skin treatments, etc.

Just looking for people who might have tried it and can give me some honest feedback on downtime, results, etc.

Re: Derma Roller!

I’m sure it helps with better absorption.. poking holes in your skin makes it much easier for creams etc to penetrate :stuck_out_tongue: There are loads of really helpful posts on the essentialdayspa forum btw.. I’d check that out for recommendations on specific brands and techniques..

Re: Derma Roller!

Do you wanna use it as an anti-aging prevention? Cuz you certainly don’t have loose or saggy skin.

Re: Derma Roller!

I wanna use it on my stomach…:frowning:

And also as a preventive measure…I’ll be starting a skincare regimen that will involve retinol soon.

Re: Derma Roller!

For your stomach go for course of treatments done by a cosmetic surgeon. Medical grade needling treatments are far more aggressive and will actually make a difference in a couple of treatments.

Re: Derma Roller!

I have two derma rollers. Tried them and did not like them. The harder you do it, the longer the skin stays red. I would rather try a phenol peel. Super expensive though…USD $3000 I think.
