Has anyone had it done?
What kind?
Anyone tried the “Zoom Whitening” that is done at the dentist’s office?
What was your experience?

Re: Dental Whitening
I haven't tried the zoom one but I have tried the gel one. To be honest I found I got just as good results with crest whitening strips (they are amazing and I totally swear by them!). For the "professional" one I paid a hundred something dollars and the crest one was around $40 and I got a white smile with both.
Re: Dental Whitening
aren't there a number of different whitening strips? which one did you use?
how long do you have to keep them on?
Re: Dental Whitening
I use these Amazon.com: Crest 3d White Professional Effects Teeth Whitening Strips 20 Count: Health & Personal Care
You have to have them on for 30 mins every day. I used to do it before I went to bed, it takes a little getting used to but it doesn’t hurt or anything like that. And I think you get 20 pairs of strips. So 20 days for 30 mins a day and you end up with whiter teeth
And once you do it you don’t need to do it again for another year or even longer.
People would actually compliment me on my white smile LOL so I know they actually work!!! Will do it again in a couple of months ![]()
Re: Dental Whitening
so twenty days straight?
Re: Dental Whitening
Wendy is one pack enough for a good result? or should i use 2 packs?
(wanna give it a try now :D)
Muzna, I had teeth whitening done using a custom dental tray and the whitening compound from a dentist. The key difference as I understood was that the off the shelf options had lower hydrogen peroxide percentage. At that time the strongest OTC option was 3.5% while the dentist version was 11% - I could be wrong on numbers but the difference was almost 4x.
Have not done zoom. But have seen great results from people who have used it. Note of caution, if someone has caps, like I do courtesy of rugby days, zoom is not going to do anything to caps, but then caps don't get yellow anyways

One pack will be enough and you'll start seeing results within a week.
Now everyone's different but these worked very well for me :)

thanks.....that's precisely what my dentist told me yesterday.
now I'm in two minds cuz I have one pre-molar and a molar that have crowns....the whitening will not affect them and there will be a noticeable colour difference.
kya karoon...? have to think about how visible the pre-molar is I guess.......
Re: Dental Whitening

Re: Dental Whitening
Definitely try Crest. I'm currently on day 4 and I can tell a difference, my teeth weren't even yellow to begin with. I've also been using the Crest toothpaste too. Before purchasing I read reviews about some people experiencing sensitivity to their teeth, I've not experienced this at all.
Crest also do a 2 hour treatment, which I believe is to be repeated every 3 months.
Also, if you're in the UK, you can only purchase them online. Ebay, Amazon or whitestrips4u.co.uk
Happy whitening!

Re: Dental Whitening
If you are into homemade remedies than try this,
Teeth whitener
Do you wish you could keep that fresh-from-the-dentist look all the way until your next cleaning? You really can with this inexpensive and easy natural solution. Forget all those strips, gels and goo. All you need is dental floss and baking soda. Only do this once a month. It's very hard on the enamel, but a very effective natural whitener. Here's what to do:
Brush and rinse as usual. Rub baking soda between your top teeth. Use the dental floss to create a mini sander between your teeth - be sure to get into the gum line a bit. Rub the baking soda on the flats of your teeth. Do the same on the bottom. Brush your teeth and rinse again
Its really effective.
Re: Dental Whitening
Someone told me this and it was horrible-please don't recomend this todka to anyone.
Re: Dental Whitening
^^^agreed! baking soda can ruin ur teeth :S never ever try it!
