Democracy in Pakistan! Yes! Kenyan style

Democracy in Pakistan! Yes! Kenyan style (or may be Gaza style)!

The so called democrats in Pakistan have behaved just like African tribals. Burning, looting, and pillaging public and private property worth $$ billions.

This is the same primitive behavior so very well exhibited by the recent Kenyan and Hamas. The same tribal behavior has killed, maimed, and burned innocent people in Kenya and Gaza.

The choice is ours. Do we want to ape the behavior of be primitive tribals or let Pakistan rise up as a disciplined and progressive state?

Re: Democracy in Pakistan! Yes! Kenyan style

That's what happens in third world countries where people do not accept election results. PPP has already said it will start agitation if it does not get the most seats in the elections.

Re: Democracy in Pakistan! Yes! Kenyan style

For as bad as it might sound in Kenya, they are considered one of the most stable countries in the region...

What would you perfer? Some Kenyan dictator comes in and imposes his rule on everyone? You honestly think dictatorship is going to resolve the problems of a society with such strong competing forces?

Dictatorships dont work unless its a docile community... But in countries like Pakistan dictatorships only cause instability and bad governance.

Re: Democracy in Pakistan! Yes! Kenyan style

Democracy in Pakistan but under a free and fair election not one rigged by the dictator in order to get an assembly which will approve his illegal alteration of the constitution.

Re: Democracy in Pakistan! Yes! Kenyan style

If this election is rigged, its going to take a whole lot to do it.. I mean there are two very strong parties, one with the peoples sympathies on its side, while Mush is dealing with a failed govt that is obviously unpopular... Even the MMA cant save Mush now as thats already gone, so all thats left is MQM, and we know how popular they are in Sindh....
Mush is surrounded on all sides by the oppostion, so whats he to do?!?!

Re: Democracy in Pakistan! Yes! Kenyan style

Don't worry, Zardari is here to save Pakistan. He has already said in his press conference that if PPP does not get majority, he will start agitation in Pakistan.

Re: Democracy in Pakistan! Yes! Kenyan style

Yes free and fair elections to get the looters and arsonists in power. Jai anarchists ki!

Re: Democracy in Pakistan! Yes! Kenyan style

lol so of all the countries in the world, you had to compare democracy to that of Kenyans... lol what a sorry thread...

Re: Democracy in Pakistan! Yes! Kenyan style

this is terrible what is happening in kenya.
what is going on in Pakistan.
how can things be changed?
when there is so much deathly commotion?
May Allah swt help citizens of both nations, to stand by and act on wise decisions to bring the countries to normalcy. amen.
best,
Dushwari

Re: Democracy in Pakistan! Yes! Kenyan style

Hey bro!

Had PPP goons not burned $billions of public+private property,

I would have compared Pak democracy to Iowa election.

Re: Democracy in Pakistan! Yes! Kenyan style

It is not only the PPP workers that have set ablaze public and private properties. As I mentioned somewhere else as well, most of these arsons were carried out by petty vagabonds, street beggars, thieves, and other criminal elements. A close friend, who got trapped between 2 mobs told me that these people were laughing and jumping with joy while destroying public property.

Lets not forget, our political, religious and establishment parties are not angelic as well. There is high possibility that these parties would have incited these elements to do more damage. If you think about it all parties have something to gain out of these destruction:

Establishment: Can show that PPP is not worth giving votes in the next elections.
PPP: Can show their massive popularity to the oppositions.
PML-Q: Did what they have already done.
Religious factions: Fuel anarchy to destabilize and weaken pro-American establishment.
Al-Qaeeda: Same as religious factions. We know the statements of Mahsud, before BB's arrival in Pakistan.

Re: Democracy in Pakistan! Yes! Kenyan style

By democracy, they mean anarchy. Once you have a civilian government in place, the next day the same journalists and media people at Dawn, Geo News etc. will be hell bent on muckracking them and would do their best to instigate some violent rallies which just worsens everything in the country.

Re: Democracy in Pakistan! Yes! Kenyan style

Looters and arsanists? Mush is a looter and an arsanist, so it like replacing one with another I suppose...

I just think Mush is a far bigger and a far more dangerous looter and arsanist.

Re: Democracy in Pakistan! Yes! Kenyan style

Had Mush sent out his police and goons to protect private property, maybe we wouldnt be here...
He is so good at arresting lawyers, students, media and human rights people, why cant he do the same thing with looters and arsonists? Or is he just that incompetant?

Re: Democracy in Pakistan! Yes! Kenyan style

Yeah, but atleast the civilian politicians are answerable to someone... And if there is rule of law and respect for the law, then there is no reason why the relationship between media and govt should so confrontational...

Good governance gets good press, Mushraf like bad governance only generates bad press... Simple logic.

Re: Democracy in Pakistan! Yes! Kenyan style

And the question is?

Do we have such a healthy political structure exists in Pakistan? Off course!

Let's sing in chorus and blame the military for keeping out the likes of Bhutto the CMLA, Mujib the traitor, Zardari the 10%, Altaf the Bhatta Khor, BB the parda-dar, and Ameerul Momineen Nawaz Sharif.

Man Pakistan will be a paradise on earth if not for Pak military.

Let's all work together to destroy the last defense of Pakistan.

Then we all would be living in Jannat, where

every Pakistani Jihadi will finally get his 72 hoors,
Ghilman will bring fresh grapes from Chaman,
Sawat river will be flowing with Khalis milk, Jehlum with khalis honey, and Sindh off course will be overflowing with "Sharabe tahoor".

Just watch out for those Indians, they may end up "damning" all the milk and honey up in IOK "dams".

Re: Democracy in Pakistan! Yes! Kenyan style

We were developing a healthy political system, we did have a vehmently independant supreme court, until Mush came in and destroyed that dream...

We had an independant media, Musharaf crushed that dream...

It not about who make up the current flock of politicians, we are thinking about the long term.
You need to start seeing the big picture... There is no other option but civilian democracy... Be it with Zardari or anyone else... For Pakistans long term survival, Democracy must prevail and allowed to evolve..
If its not allowed to evolve then more corrupt leaders will be created...

Pak Military needs to do its job, which isnt dabbling in politics.

You are think short term, im trying to get you to see the long term... Witout democracy, Pakistan will get a few years of stability and then back to anarchy...

Have some faith in the people for god sakes.. They will vote out the corrupt and bring in those that arent.. .Its called DEMOCRACY!

You can be as condascending as you want, but at the end of the day, fact reamins that Pakistan cant survive under Military dictatorship.

Re: Democracy in Pakistan! Yes! Kenyan style

LOL. You obviously have not heard of NS’s kartoots and what he did to the judiciary. Nuff said. Your knowledge of Pakistan is zero. :hehe:

Re: Democracy in Pakistan! Yes! Kenyan style

bro! are you forgetting all our history now?

FYI! Before 1999 that is under the rule of Ameer al momineen Nazwaz Sharif, every political Tom, Dick, Altaf, Mullah, BB were up in arms against NS precisely because?

In the view of very political Tom, Dick, Altaf, Mullah, BB!

  1. NS had clobbered Supreme court
  2. Shut out media (remember DT editor case?)
  3. driven the final nail in the political coffin by forcing through Islamic sharia amendment through his hand picked legislators.
  4. Tried to destroy army by creating a rift between the corps commanders and shutting out a civilian plane (PIA)

Let me jog your memory bro!

Pak military was hailed as the savior by Pakistani masses because it:

  1. Kicked out corrupt Mr. and Mrs. 10% and Ameer al momineen
  2. brought the economy back on track
  3. provided free media
  4. helped establish free supreme court

It is only when socialists in the SC and media created anarchy that they had to be shut out.

So my bro let's keep the facts straight and not use emotional by flawed history to prove ones point!

Re: Democracy in Pakistan! Yes! Kenyan style

No I have heard of it.. But thats a situation where the president would have to step in and call the Democratically elected govt to task… The PM and his party should be put on trial for discent and worse…

But see thats how a democracy works, there are checks and balances… Im not opposed to checks and balances, and ultimately, if the executive branch refuses to yield to the authority of the other branches of govt, then his govt should be forced to step down and fresh elections held.

Democracy 101 FOR Aalsi, want any other lessons?
