NEW DELHI: The Indian government has decided to close down the country’s Trishul anti-missile programme due to consistent failure in guidance and control systems.
The closure to be enforced from December would come after 19 years of attempts to master the art of incoming missile interception. The project is estimated to have cost over Rs 2.5 billion.
“The government intends to close down the programme by December,” said a news report by Press Trust of India quoting officials about the programme, in which over** 200 scientists had toiled**. The missile was “consistently having problems on guidance and control systems”, added the officials.
Though the missile, on its revival post 2003-06 had 15 successful flight tests out of 20, the closure is being done in view of a strategic agreement signed with Israel to develop the next generation of Barak anti-missile system in joint collaboration.

pakistan dont have any diplomatic relations with Isreal, so that states that u guys are not friendly with Isrealies. Be friend with them and may be they will stop helping the indians.
all thats needed is someone to start advertising the indo-israelli pact more to indian muslims. you'll need a few missile defence systems just for them. the dangers for india working with israel are stark, my advice is dont allow it!

^ how is that possible. Ur country being 99% muslim can coperate with US and UK while they go hunt muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan. Are u not funding the US for killings or invasion in Iraq.
India needs the guided missile system and if isreal can help India then why not. Actually the muslims in INdia would care less for such things.. more likely the ultra leftist would be the one who would be against any kind of coperation with Isreal.
Additionaly doesPakistan or any muslim country recognizes the millions of muslims living in India as muslims. If so why not give india at least an observer status in the association of muslim countries.
Whats so 'new' in ICBM interception ballistics failing. The US patriot system is crap, the Israeli green Arrow system just as bad. Infact the russians have the best interception system and this not all that relibale either. If you fire 10 one should probably get a hit.

Trying to re-invent the wheel as always, and failing, as always. LCA, Arjun, Trishul. All wasted.. it would've been better if they tried innovating the wheel rather than inventing it again (like how Pak did with the Al-Khalid, which turned out to be a huge success).
Lets have a civilain govt in Pakistan and then lets see if ur tank covers one mile without a pit stop. U guys are so gullible :). At least we have a corrective civilian authorities in who are capable of looking into army businesses. :).
Captain saab allow me to explain why i brought kargil. The point was with their superior tanks they couldnt do a thing. If ur strong point was the tanks then you wouldnt have attacked the mountanious kargil but could have come through the planes. U didnt do it why!!!

sweetheart i didnt reply after mr. captain saab came and said that it is not required to bring kargil. But u replied rediculing the logic. If you wanted to discuss thrishul discuss that why did you bring in ur tank into all of this. U started the comparison process. When there is no accountability in pakistan then how do u think u can compare. :)
