This thread needs to be deleted…This is shameful that such a thread against the Holy Prophet (SAW) is allowed to stay…Roman, never imply anything against the Holy Prophet (SAW) ever…You are crossing your boundaries with your tasteless sense of humor…And if you are really smart, you’ll refrain from ever again saying something like this…Specially to real Muslims…It’s a shame that the thread is left like that…The mods should have had enough sense and shame to have removed it a long time ago…

Re: Delete this post…

And one time he was used to be Mod/Admin for Religion section :disgust:

Lajawab, I asked the same thing to suroor who opened a similar thread. I'll ask it to you too. What EXACTLY do you find disrespectful and offensive about the thread?

Please list as many reasons as you see fit. Thanks.

You are not to take the name our Holy Prophet (SAW) as the crux of a fabricated example, joke, analogy or some thought that you have...Do you even know what sunna is? Where it comes from and what its roots are? Our Prophet (SAW) is the most Supremely respected person in a Muslim's life...I am sure you know that...If you are even half as intelligent as I make you out to be, you should know that...If you don't, I'll tell you...Don't ever use his name in a 'if' scenario...To us what the Holy Prophet (SAW) has spoken is for us Muslims sufficient...No more, no less...Your nonsensical idea is crossing the borders of blasphemy...This should be enough for you to know when you are crossing your boundaries...

Lajawab, but "IF" scenario is an integral part of human life. It's an essential part of practicing a "way of life" which is prescribed by a book (Quran) and based on sayings and actions of a prophet (Mohammad).

You cannot live your life without asking the questions like "why", "how", "if" if you'd to depend on something that occured centuries ago.

As a matter of fact, I truly belief that the analogies, introspection, and retrospection are the pillars of anyone's moral conduct if he'd to follow someone's footsteps. If Muslims were to follow Mohammad's footsteps then they must know why and how and if. Otherwise they won't be able to come up with any good explaination if their actions are questioned.

I agree...Why and how are integral...Not if...Especially not with the Prophet (SAW)...What was said was said, what was done was done...And anyways, you have 6k+ posts here at Gupshup surrounded by Muslims...And still you haven't figured out how to address The Prophet's (SAW) Majesty...

When Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) gave his last sermon, he siad , Islam is now complete, no further Prophet will not come and guide, every thing is completed that day, so there shouldn’t be any ‘if’ anymore!
Beside, all these discussion, for women to use blade is Haraam, I can show you Hadees from saha Satta!

You words are shamefull :disgust:

Lajwab, I completely disagree.

Let me give you an example. There are many things I have inherited from my father, naturally. Long after that he's gone, I sometimes face situation where I find a conflict in myself between how I was raised by him and how I truly feel about something based on my own perception of life.

With all the logic and understanding I might have about my life, I find it very difficult sometimes to act in a way that seemingly a way different then how he used to be and had taught me. But sometimes I had to ask myself, what would he had done IF he was faced with similar situation. Does this mean I am being disrespectful towards my father? No, of course not. On the contrary, I'm being quite a devotee 'cause I still let him shape my life even though he's not here physically to influence it first hand.

You can either think "disrespectfulness" and wrap everything under it, or you can think what it is that really bothers you about the IF statement? And if it is disrespecful, why so? What's intent of the IF statement? Is it to mock or is it something that requires a bit deeper understanding?

:disgust:

Gustaakh-e-Rasool:mad:

Roman I will try to reply to ur nonsensical thread about shaving legs by being as candid and absurd as can be…

**well! Roman lets say I open a thread that UR MOTHER has a beard and she shaves every morning while working at the circus…lets discuss it .
I am 100% sure that the mods will close that thread , and not let us disscuss if she uses Mach 2 or Gilette. Even though u will swear to the fact that ur MOTHER was or is a Women …but the admin will say “thread closed”.

Hope u understand my friend :flower1:**

The Prophet's Majesty?

Lajawab, I agree its a sin to mock the prophet, although I dont think that was Roman's aim in that thread, but lets not start making the prophet super-human either. That is just a great a sin. If there was anything the Prophet hated, it was people getting too obsessive about HIM AS AN INDIVIDUAL rather than devoting themselves to God.

The only Majestic Being is God, and as a muslim who acts as a parent to other guppies by deciding what thread should be closed or not without completely trying to UNDERSTAND it, you should know better than to refer to the Prophet as "majestic" when it is God you should be giving the title to.

Probably his aim is to get someone laid …now who could that be  :hehe:

PCG,

I think that a higher-than-higher place that Muslims put forth for Mohammad is also part of their insecurities. That's the only menisfestation they assume that validates the finality of their beliefs. It's as if it's a physical proof of God. As a matter of fact, a lot of people don't pray directly to Allah, but to prophet -- like Shia's put a lot of emphasis on Ali with all that "Ya Ali madad stuff".

It actually almost comes down as idol worshoping, figuratively speaking.

Look...I am neither a scholar nor a historian...We the Muslims, like others before us, wish to embrace the religion of Allah (SWT) like Allah (SWT) wants us to...Examples before us have been Ibrahim (AS) who was willing to sacrifice his son Ismail (AS) on Allah's (SWT) command...Like Nooh (AS) told to build a boat, and he did as he was being laughed at...All I ask is that you don't have to accept what I believe in, but respect it...Disrespect is not allowed to any other creation...And especially in the case of our Holy Prophet (SAW)...His Person is very dear to every Muslim's heart...Never ever disrespect it...

Lajawab, you're again stretching it beyond what it is. I am not disrespecting you faith, neither I'm laughing it. If you think I'm then it's your problem not mine.

Ok, We have all read stories about the Holy Prophet getting trash thrown on him, being called names, "rastay main kantay" and all that, so what did he do? Did he say respect me or else? Or did he pray for his tormentors? When people of other faiths would confront us how would you reply to them? Would you say respect Mohammed or else or would you show them how our Holy Prophet is indeed worthy or respect? There is an entire website called answering islam full of such things...and the author gives refrences from hadith books to disrespect the prophet. How would you answer them? Sorry if it seems off topic but I don't think exhibition of disgust/outrage etc. by themselves will do anything to make anyone change thier minds. The people who convince others do so with a cool head not with overcharged emotionalism. Remember what the Prophet (PBUH) said at Uhud. It applies not only to war but to everyday life as well.

which thread was that?

Degas, that's a very good question. You should definitely ask that to mod/admin.
