Being Punjabi isnât a paindu. Even punjabi speaking people from Lahore consider people from rural areas as âpaindusâ even though to Karachiteâs all punjabi speaking people are paindus.

Um.. thats not true. Punjabis and Paindoos are two different thing entirely, this part is true. However by now even there is major major population of Punjabis who were born and lived in Khi entire life. Even they call other (some not all) Punjabis paindu not becuz of the race but rather their activities or habits coming out of village. So its a lil judemental and more of a funny way of portraying things.
Even a lot of friends call each other paindu but it doesnt mean it should be taken seriously. Its all good under the hood.

I have dealt with an extreme paindu. Someone that that belonged to some god forsaken village in the middle of nowhere in Pakistan. Mind you prior to this interaction I havenât met or spoken with paindus before. Albeit I did have lots of Punjabi friends, and can speak punjabi fluently. Dealing with a paindu is a whole another dimension. This person whom Iâve had the misfortune of meeting came off as extremely daft. As someone who has never seen the light of day and lived entirely under a rock. When I talk about every day things, like âHow to make teaâ or âHow do I walk down the escalatorsâ. Yes this paindu refused to take the escalator claiming âMennu dar lagdaâ. Also freaking out while in a Bus.
I used to watch parodies of paindus on TV show and I used to think that theyâre all exaggerated no one can be that paindu. But was I wrong. There are some really backward people living on this planet. And this is just the Paindus weâre talking about. Imagine what kind of backward people exist in other culture. Like the âBongâ people of Botswana or something.
