I’m hearing different things let’s all make clear what a fob really is.

I thought as long as you didnt have a pakistani or indian accent and spoke proper English you weren’t considered a fob??

A fob to me is a “paindu” and if you live in pakistan and speak “proper” English shouldnt that leave out of the category of fob?

A "FOB" as I understand it, is one who is "Fresh off the boat" - ie., new to the country and culture and typically refers to immigrants to the west. It doesnt mean that they're paindu or stupid but that they are completely unfamiliar with life in the west and therefore make "mistakes" that may make them seem paindu. Whether its slight errors in proninciation or use of language, or making some cultural boo-boos...its really just a matter of not being familiar with the new country, its practices and its culture.

When some one sounds like ABCD's parents you can comfortably called them FOBs.

To be classified as fob you need to be outside of Pakistan

it is a shipping business term…determines who pays for the shipping cost!

can also mean “Fat Old Boy”

But if you realy want to get technical about it…in this day an age when there are NO immigrants coming by Boat…

We can say FOB = Fresh Off a Boeing… :smiley:

could also be an acronym for fresh off the boat, which makes a lot more sense.

What is a CBCD?

I thought FOB was a mental state of mind...not necessarily anything else. :) Guys who like women a certain way, thick accents, oily hair, etc.

There are some POBs as well... pushed off the boat, and they end up in the UK while en route to the land of the oppurtunities.
