Re: Define Culture of your city in Three Words

There are four different cities I've spent a bit of time in over the years:

Copenhagen: Sophisticated, modern, forward-thinking
Amsterdam: Vibrant, liberal, international
Kabul: Striking, evocative, resilient
London: Eclectic, historical, bustling

Re: Define Culture of your city in Three Words

Why did you pick on me out of everyone here?

Well, Toronto doesn’t have any one dominant culture. But there exists a lot of tolerance for different cultures. So we have Chinese new years’ celebrations out on the street, Eid mela, independence day parades (for different countries, including Pakistan’s) at city hall, and so on, in addition to the mainstream events like Easter/Christmas/etc. I see a lot of cultural awareness among people in Toronto, that I don’t see in other places.

As for the other aspects, there is a lot to do and see. With the financial district being in downtonw, there are lots of professionals who may not live in Toronto but who travel everyday to come work in the city. So the vibe is fast-paced, very urban, happening place.

With so many people wanting to live inside or close to Toronto, it’s not a surprise that the houses are smaller but pricier than the nearby towns.

Re: Define Culture of your city in Three Words

Matri is a tea biscuit which is famous all over North India. it's jumbo size papa with unique flavors.

CDF [Central Dairy Farm] is one of the Dairies that produces great butter [both creamy and churned] which is always fresh because the dairy is located in the suburbs of Aligarh. the moist popular one is the 30 gram pack of unsalted butter. students are given on butter, two maTris, a 30 gram pack of jam and unlimited tea...now, you are good till lunch time time. :)

actually, AligaRh is known for several M's:

Muslim University
Makkhan
Makkhi
Machchhar
Madar Gate
Moid Khan
Master's Locks

no Mujra so far...may be in near future! :D

Allahabad is also known for Guavas.

Fast paced, competitive, green.

Re: Define Culture of your city in Three Words

London - Imperial, Stylish and Diverse

Lahore - Historical, lively and Foodie.

For me, Lahore is a happy city whereas London is creative but both are equally proud.
