If establishment and generals are responsible for promoting Taliban in FAT then why have Taliban attacked and killed so many of our soldiers, why have they had suicide attacks on ISI, why then army has broken them into several groups?

Because army stopped promoting Taliban in FATA afterwards. This is why they retaliated against army and the state of Pakistan. And this is why suicide attacks increased.
Suicide attacks did not increase to avenge US invasion but to avenge reversal of Pakistan’s policy of supporting them.

One good thing Musharraf did was to purge army of Taliban supporters among their ranks. This has had a tremendous effect on army’s policies towards Taliban.
