Why do people get super scared with even a thought of dying…
Is it really that bad?
or
Is it the teachings which play major role in scaring us???
I personally have no fear for death and never will.Because nobody knows anything about it…but yet we are scared .

Im not afraid of death and one shouldnt be either BUT I am afraid of the cause of death. I just don't want to die either by falling from Empire state buidling or airplane crash in ocean ...such scary stuff !!

*EMM----> Ofcourse a painful death is bad...but still theres a catch ....we dont know what the dying person felt at tha time.....cuz nobdy ever came back to give us an insight wat actually went through..... their minds and their bodies.....

Like EMM I am not afraid of death, I will die when I die, its the manner which is of concern. I mean if I sleep and just not wake up, that is fine by me when its my time, whenever it is.

If you want to achieve spiritual advancement in life, think that you may die at any moment.

I used to be afraid not from the way how I would die but from the process which would start after death, the question answer session in front of Allah. I am currently reading the book "Maut ka manzar"( marne ke baad kia hoga). I think anyone who comes to know what kind of process we would go through after death (through the light of hadith) would become concious about their deeds in this world.
I wish I could be able to develop the thinking of suhabas (ra) who used to love death as they knew this is the only barrior between them and their two beloved ones (Allah & the Prophet (saw)) That is why in their whole life they prepared themselves for the life hereafter by going through pain, sacrfice, patience, struggle and submission in the way of truth.

I am afraid of my loved ones death.
Guess that does not make me much spiritually advanced does it?

When you lie in bed, imagine facing someone with a knife in real life...I know, I know. most people would imagine themselves kicking the crap out of the assailant, but then imagine how you felt when some stranger shouted at you in traffic or the street...How did you feel then? How would you feel when faced with death?
It's not a good feeling...Death is something to be aware of if not scared of...Do you think you led a pious enough life to face the torture of the grave? What if at the moment of your death your death was written as a Kafir and you are sentenced to hellfire? How do you know you will die as a Muslim? How do you know that when you are dying, your faith will be that of a Muslim?

I am afraid of death not because how but the beating I may get after death. Its scary....I just went to 2 funerals yesterday. One was of a lady and another of a man. I got to the graveyard a bit early the grave was already dug up and ready we were waiting for the body to be arrived. I peaked into the grave, it was scary I started imagining if I were laying in that grave what would I be going through....

because im afraid to leave my kids whilst they are soo young. who would look after them or love them from the heart like their mom does.
Im afraid of death because of what my parents would go through without me,their only child.
Im afraid of death because im afraid of life continuing without me(not that it would make a difference to a dead person...but the thought depresses me!)
im afraid of death because i dont know how painful it would be.
Im afraid of death because i havent done enough good deeds in this world to take with me

The funeral of a lady I mentioned above in my post has left 2 kids behind (7 and 9). I heard their father either left or divorced the lady and never came back. The kids have never seen the father. There are no relatives who could take the custody of those kids. After her husband left her she became very secluded. The kids don’t even know any of the relatives or even any of the grand parents. We are trying to locate the relatives so they can take the custody of the kids and if we cannot find the relatives than someone has to adopt the kids. There are 3 ladies who step forward and said they would take the custody till we can find the relatives and if we are unable to find the relatives than one of the lady said she would adopt them.

I know we should leave everything to Allah and have faith, and i do.but we are humans at the end of the day scary thoughts like this do come to your head sometimes, its natural.
I pray for the little girls you mentioned in your post, may allah give them loving guardians and all the happiness in the world. For any parent to think that their kids could be in that situation...thats scary! thats what im afraid of.I cant help it.
