The answer is no. But the question is would you do it if you were only allowed to drink Gatorade but nothing else - no food or anything?

I was traveling to a client with a co-worker in the fasting month last year. he didn’t fast but the guy would skip his lunches to make me feel better. We would leave from work for dinner right before sunset and he wouldn’t start eating in front of me until it was time to break the fast. Not that he had to do it but I truely appreciated this gesture. This thread just reminded me of that and I thought I would share.

I would be more than happy to fast with you, however on days where I am working in swealtering heat, I reserve the right to Gatorade. I am unable to delay my work, nor am I able to reschedule it to the evening. I realize this is a wimpy half measure, but I should not become too dehydrated.

With that said,

1. Where is the feast?

2. There are some damn hot Muslim lands. How do workers who must work outside, during the day cope with the heat if they cannot drink? The Mexicans take siestas, and avoid the noon day heat. My pale Gori body would fry in about an hour if I were directing traffic in Rhiyad in the sun. If I were working indoors, it would be no problem, but it is decidedly unhealthy to parbroil with no water.
