Re: Dear Paratha , I love you !

i adore them but they are fattening,
if i ate them every week i'd be the size of a house with my metabolism..you girls are soooo lucky you can eat them all the time and get away with it :-(

I havent had them for 2 months now, badly craving them since reading this thread...actually gonna goond some aata tonight and guess what me and hubs eating tomorrow for dinner!? Yummy crispy greaaasy motapayaing parathey with mirchi and pyaaz wala ommelete. I LITERALLY NEED SOME NOW -

p.s my breakfast consists of 2 dark rye bread seeded ryveta crackers with olive spread and black tea. HOW boring, yes I am deprived Aisha! I'm gonna be a bad bad girl tomorrow, hee hee hee!

Stardust, thats nakli paratha … you gotta have an asli paratha tomorrow :lifey:

I adore parathey for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

I wish there was a paratha that was delicious and calorie FREE!

My favorite are made with oodles of butter paired with bhuna huwa qeema or omelet or butter or even a simple raita!

YUMMMYYYYY!!!

CB…Im having a paratha tonight…kuch bhi ho and its all your fault!

Re: Dear Paratha , I love you !

I go for a healthier option, my hubby has high cholesterol so I make parathas with whole wheat atta and canola oil, they don't look or taste like traditional parathas but he still loves them :D

Re: Dear Paratha , I love you !

For the people (mostly sitters) who fear of a heart attack just by eating a delicious paratha...they can make their parathas using olive oil...

But those who work like a mazdoor ( a precious laborer :) ) can consume any number of parathas...even using ghee at any given time...hmmmmmmmm

PS: I have orderded a 20 kg whole wheat bag...and would mix it with a bit of while flour to make parathas of various fillings...boom chikkina boom...boom chikka boom... :)

PS1: I might post some pictures of them if I get an opportunity... :D

Re: Dear Paratha , I love you !

My favorite is my mom’s Aloo Paratha …

And I havn’t had one in 2 years I think :crying:

… I’m totally craving a paratha and have no means of satisfying this craving …why am I not living closer to you ladies so that I could pop by and take care of this problem… :bummer:

If you work on burning all those calories off then you can have two every two hours.
If you do not burn those extra calories off and do not want to look like a watermelon then one paratha once a week is more than enough.

This weekend I had four parathas with desi style omlette , but did not eat anything for lunch and dinner. Also the following days I ate steamed vegetables ,daal etc.
Monday morning I managed to stay the same weight I had Friday evening.

Re: Dear Paratha , I love you !

Can someone please post a picture of a paratha so i can at least eat it with my eyes :yum:
I wish i was good like my mom at making them :frowning:

Re: Dear Paratha , I love you !
