consider this:
“rishta leneye jaeien”
& this:
“rishta dein”
who came up with these phrases?
in the context of marriages of children, where does the word “rishta” comes in with its implied meaning?
somehow, i think that this has been followed only since it had been used as a way to verbally indicate people are looking for prospects of their children.
but there are more direct, better ways of putting this concern into words?
every time i hear this, yes for my self, or for others, i cant help laugh to my self.
why the word “r i s h t a”?
