It was merely a response to your comment that it may hit closer to home. I am completely anti-war. Have been for a few years now. So saving a soldiers life is not really something I factor in. While I do respect that they fight and put their lives in danger for what they believe to be true, I disagree with the entire notion.
I am not sure if soldiers are really putting their life in danger, just because they believe in the war. That might have been the case once, but war is an industry now, and soldiers are just employees. They do it so they can get the pay check. They are not doing it for any cause, they are just following the orders of their superiors like we all do in our jobs.
The guys at the PRT are very very nationalistic and they honestly believe that they are here to help the Afghan people so that their way of life is not threatened. Mind you 99% of them have never left Nebraska or Arkansas let alone their own village and truly believe its their job to defend American against everybody and anybody. Soldiers don't make decisions. They but do and die as the poem goes.
