What do you do to de-stress

what Im talking about is when your mind is full of things that go “round and around”

excersize isnt allowed in your answers!

Chill with friends...listen to some music...play computer games...watch some tv...drive...any kind of escapism...

Namaz is the answer to most of stress-related issues.

Also, after namaz try doing something you really enjoy. This will take your mind off of the stress related issues.

A long warm bath............."Calgon take me away"

Yoga also does wonders.

A massage is what i usually go for after namaz, ofcourse.

^ lol. why is he stupid? yeah talking on the phone to someone chilled out usually helps. Take a shower, read a magazine, and yes namaaz and quraan are a good way to destress.

Namaaz will be the first choice...
Having cig with freshly made tea sitting in the backyard under the shade of a tree...you cannot help but feel destressed

Actually LD asked about de-stressing not de-depressing oneself. Most of us have replied as if she asked about the latter.

For de-stressing I just try to rid my mind of all thoughts that are causing it, take a break, relax, watch a movie, cook something, have tea, eat sinfully, daydream etc etc.

beachwalk with significant other, relax and ofcource making out could be very helpful in bringing stress level down.

This is precisely what happens to me.
I never feel as unburdened as I do when I have cried my heart out to Allah.

Ajnabee is right. If you have excess energy then burning it off with your significant other works wonders. Changes the dynamics sometimes and that’s refreshing too.

Everyone goes through stress, there is nothing abnormal about it. People have to realize that it is something that needs to be dealt with and talked about. Some of them ignore it and make the biggest mistake of their lives. It can result in a clinical disorder something like ADD - when you are doing something and thinking about other. So, stress is something that happens with everyone and usually it is an issue or a relationship that needs to be talked about.

There are emotions involved and the best way to do it is to talk with someone that you know and that person cares about you. When someone talks about stressful issue you are bound to cry and if you are with someone like your mom, husband, brother or sister it really helps. Some people release their venom to strangers directly or indirectly which is wrong, in the end you feel miserable.

People can suggest excercise, job or changing places but it won't work because it has nothing to do with body and everything with mind and emotions. You can have a six-pack and live in a diamond studded house and still be full of stress.

The best thing is to talk with someone that cares about you and is eager to listen to you....let it all out and be strong.

walking, talking to ur best friend or other significant or watch a nice relaxing movie.

waisay gym has been pretty effective too.
