day 4 and no weight loss :[

IM ON DAY 4 OF diet, low calories and doing 30mins exc daily, so shouldve lost atleast a pound by now…but nothing…why could this be…:

most of the time when we "loose weight" it's just water that's why most women will get on the scale in the morning after going to the restroom. if you check your weight by the end of your day after dinner you will think you gained 3 pounds which is so not the case.

Also it's great that you're on a low cal diet and you exercise for 30 mins but what type are you doing? Focus on running, cardio and higher impact workouts. that will give you a better chance at weight loss. Also I have found it's easy to cut out any salt, sugar, anything with high amounts of sodium, sodas and high fructose corn syrup from my diet so that i can slim my waist down a little because sugars go to your waistline and salt and sugar makes you retain water in the same area. I'm not fat but I have an aishwarya kinda tummy at times and whenever i want to wear a sari i tweak my diet like this and i'm slim, trim and along with crunches and bellydancing my stomach is tighter. the figure 8 move is amazing for the sides of your stomach.

Also read the labels of what you put in you. Some women swear yoplait lights that are 100 calories are a god send until you point out all the sugar and sodium they are taking in. So it's not really about low calorie but about putting in good calories into your body.

i thought you said you lost so much weight and you were almost at your goal weight in that health and fitness thread you started.

maybe change the intensity of your workout, if you're speed walking then increase the level to 15 and the speed to 1.0 higher than usual on the treadmill.

Body changes nadz...you've had a baby. Everyone's body responds differently. Some lose weight quickly after kids and some do not.

Regardless, the rule is three weeks. You have to do anything for about three weeks in order to see your scale budge.

huh? if i wrote that im mustve been mad, i did lost alot, but it was before wedding, now im post-baby weight and although i only started 4 days ago, still feels like i shouldve atleast lost a pound.

day 4 and no loss? boy.. thats tough - when i was like 300 lbs, i went on a diet and by day four i was down to a 150 lbs. maybe you need to eat a little less?

Don't step on the scale several times a day to determine if you've lost weight........it's not the best indicator. Why? Because your weight fluctuates during the day. Try stepping on the scale after you wake up in the morning, take a leak, and before eating breakfast. You may find that you weigh a couple of pounds less.....because you haven't eaten yet.

Plus, I've read that as your trying to lose weight in the beginning.....the weight that you could be losing is water weight....before you start losing actual fat. Sometimes the added pounds could be due to water weight/bloating, etc.

This is day 4.......it's not even a week. It's too soon. A week would be too soon. Another thing to keep in mind is that while you may be eating low calorie foods......the calories will add up if you're eating bigger portions. Stress levels also play a role in weight gain/loss. Also, combine the cardio with weights...as that's more effective. No, lifting 2-5 pound arm weights will not lead to you becoming bulky. You can even do this while you're watching tv.

See where you're at after 2 weeks, then re-evaluate how much you're eating/working out
