The guys I’ve personally seen who avoid the activities you described, like not socializing with women even in a group setting, are usually kind of awkward around women.

Icicle didn’t say that the guy has to be totally remote and not even talk to girls. A person can be friendly and still maintain their distance. I have come across numerous such desi men and they are happy to small talk or just talk about everyday things like school, work etc.

They are not any different from my male Caucasian colleagues especially the older ones who for the most part like hanging out with their drinking buddies. Once the small talk is over they run over to their buddies. They both have their own unique preferences but they are far from awkward around women.
