Dating non-muslim girls

Is this becoming a more and more common trend amongst Pakistanis? Why are girls looked down upon when they date a non-muslim?

Re: Dating non-muslim girls

i think it’s becoming more common among Pakistani/Indian Muslim/non Muslim girls. i’ve been seeing a huge increases in numbers over the last 5 years…i know at least 15-20 Muslim Indo/Pakistani girls who have married Goras.

i know one Hijaabi girl marrying a Gora…the girl’s family and she herself are very religious. that reallly surprised me when i heard about it! :hmmm:

Re: Dating non-muslim girls

I'm not talking about marrying muslims who are goras. I'm talking about dating a non-muslim. And I'm not talking about shaadi, I'm talking about where guys go around and DATE non-muslim girls, regardless of what they settle for later.

Do families not know their boys have gf's?

Re: Dating non-muslim girls

of course, they must have dated for sometimes before marrying...

Re: Dating non-muslim girls

Probably not, unless he lives with them ( him not coming home or coming home late might be giveaway ).

Or they'd find out if the gf insists on meeting the parents or goes behind the guys back to hunt them down.

Or if they plan on getting married.

Living in another city might make it even easier for him to hide her.

Re: Dating non-muslim girls

Here they often do know.. They just turn a bind eye and pretend they don't..

Re: Dating non-muslim girls

This is not new.

Re: Dating non-muslim girls

Not in my circle at least.

Isn't it obvious?

Re: Dating non-muslim girls

No they don't.

I know a lot of pakistani boys dating non-muslim girls in New Jersey & New York. Going to clubs etc.

In-front of parents, they are good muslim boys.

However, it is all a phase, because they usually end up marrying pakistani girls.

Re: Dating non-muslim girls

It is very much on the increase. In my workplace one of the muslim girls was dating a white guy and was very much open about her physical relatinship with him. I'm not sure about looking down on her, as i got along with her very much when i started and looked passed the fact she was dating a non muslim, however things soon turned sour and now i just keep my distance. I don't judge her (who am i to). i see her as young girl who is influenced alot by the other non muslims around her, all i do is god she finds the right path.

Re: Dating non-muslim girls

^ Do you offer these kind prayers when similarly men are dating non-muslims?

Re: Dating non-muslim girls

My guy was not a Muslim when I first met him.. My mum and my brother were pretty angry but my dad was ok with it.. he's a psychiatrist so he understands me lol

Re: Dating non-muslim girls

You know I bet that if you were to compare the muslim women marrying non-muslims vs. the muslim men marrying non-muslims, there would be a higher conversion rate amongst non-muslim men marrying into muslim families compared with non-muslim women, because there is a lax rule about how a muslim man can marry within Christianity, and Judaism without necessarily converting the wife. So a lot of these guys who marry outside Pakistani culture, some of their wives don’t even convert nor do they raise their kids muslim. But as much as we view muslim women going out of their deen to find people and convert them with suspicion, I bet most of those marriages - the husband converts into Islam.

Ah, maybe the pity prayers of muslims towards these women do get answered. :halo:

Re: Dating non-muslim girls

If the husband accepts Islam, then thats it. End of story! Best wishes for the new couple. May they live happily ever after.... with lots of kids (or as many as they want).

Re: Dating non-muslim girls

Maybey yes. But these people like most of the people on this site are in various stages of westernization. The more westernized the more likely to date outside Islam, Why are girls looked down upon when they date non muslims? Someone with a few atoms of common sense can answer this question for you. In case you need verses from our (muslim) holy book, I can provide that...

Re: Dating non-muslim girls

Only if they are taking anti-depressants and moaning like how they life is so messed up. I'm in no way gender biased- i pray for all ;)

Re: Dating non-muslim girls

OP going off topic… Why do you bring in facts about conversion. From what i gathered from the post it was casual dating?

Re: Dating non-muslim girls

Personally, I don't think one should judge. If guys or girls date/marry non muslims, isn't it the same thing? If one is to judge then both should be seen equally. I know that technically guys can marry people of the Book but then I think some people reason there are not many people who would be classified this way. I am not really in the know so maybe others can clarify but I have heard many say that Christian/Jewish girls today do not really represent people of the book definition set earlier. At the same time there are those desi guys who date white girls but do not marry them. They may choose the white girl over the desi girl for dating because most desi girls do not do pre-marital sex. Then they marry the desi girl, for some preferably a virgin from overseas. It is so hypocritical but I am glad most desi girls stick to their values and don't compromise to be in a relationship with a guy. I don't agree with desi guys dating white girls, leading them onto believe marriage is on the cards, having a physical relationship and then later dumping them and dating a desi girl for marriage. I had some friends who have been victim to that situation and they also feel devastated, they have feelings and hearts and it also gives a bad image.

Re: Dating non-muslim girls

Maybe taking a look at the holy book would stop you going off on another racist rant..

Don’t know why you’re bringing Islam into it when clearly the issue with you is more about interracial marriages..
