**Yes dates!
Today, I was craving for my fav ones, Sukari dates
so I went to the market, looked for it, and finally bought a packet of 3 kg…
Dates always help me fighting the bad moments, worst times…

so, who else here loves eating dates??

Absolutely love dates. Now unfortunately i’m not aware of that many kind of dates. But yea I’ve eaten Ajwa which are good.

What I dont like is coming from Pak or somewhere and fully soaked in some liquid. It kills the taste of dates.

Ajwa is very good. It has been recommended by the prophet. I love Ajwa. But my favorite is Sukkary. I avoid dates because of acne
Date cake is yummy too Many desserts made from dates are delicious.

I was at Doha airport for a transition earlier this summer and there I saw some amazing types of dates. A lot of them combined with multiple nuts, chocolates etc. All look yummy. There are arab shops here who import these kinda dates. But either they are expensive or also we dont visit such stores too often

Yeah, the fancy ones are expensive here too. It’s worth a try though.

but but, I dont like sukari (Pakistani/Arabian), as in brown dates..

First, they use the cheapest kind of dates to fill with nuts…
Second, mostly they use 2-3 years old dates…
Third, I have seen factories and work places where they actually fill dates, and what I only can say here is, I wont prefer to eat!

We prefer to fill the dates with nuts ourselves in the beginning of ramadhan… Adha ramadhan tou chalta he hai phir.

It has v unique taste, na ziada meethi na pheeki, phr healthy alag aur sunnat alag

Sukari comes in three shapes, I dont know which one u tried…but one thing is confirmed, sukari is real date, tastes like honey

My Favourites are Ajwa and 'Barhee’and 'Halawy’and 'Khadrawy’and ‘Medjool’

So you all know I like them a lot, but can anyone tell me how to plant new Date Palms? can they be planted from seeds/pits or only from the saplings because I want to plant them if I can the exotic ones in Pakistan?
