Re: Dastaan - A drama on Partition (Hum tv)
Another FANTASTIC episode!!! I think Haissam and Sameera keep on outdoing themselves with each episode every single week! Congratulations again to the Dastaan team! I don’t know how you guys made this drama without getting emotional. I cried when Bano cried and deeply felt her pain of being all alone living with a bunch of strangers who are up to no good. Next episode seems even more horrific!
LOVED LOVED LOVED the scene of Bano praying upstairs as the Sikhs were doing their pooja downstairs. Wonderfully shot!!
Sanam Baloch you are an amazing actress! Please keep on choosing quality over quantity :k:
Re: Dastaan - A drama on Partition (Hum tv)
I agree Rukhsar, what a great episode. Bano's praying scene was so heartfelt. Sanam Baloch is doing a great job.
I think it's a well-made drama, except for a few blatant anti-sikh/hindu scenes, but given that it's a Pakistani drama that can be overlooked. Everyone suffered during the partition, all religions/castes/creeds. This is one of the better made and entertaining partition dramas. Good job to the production team and the crew!!

i agree
Re: Dastaan - A drama on Partition (Hum tv)
where is episode 13?
Re: Dastaan - A drama on Partition (Hum tv)
Good acting by Sanam Baloch. Episode 13 was really good. I love the scene when banu bite on the hand of Basanty's mohter.
Re: Dastaan - A drama on Partition (Hum tv)
^Haha I actually cheered at that point. I am at my most vocal point every time Bano makes an attempt to run away...I literally shout encouragement at the screen lol.
Mehreen Raheel makes her appearance in the next episode, turns out she is Hassan's young cousin from early episode - now all grown up. Looking forward to what happens next.

LOL!
Did Banu's character have a baby in the actual novel too?
This episode was a tough one to watch. :(
I am still surprised that the little cousin in about 4-5 years has changed so much HAHAHA!
Re: Dastaan - A drama on Partition (Hum tv)
^ yes she has a baby in the novel too, its basically downhill for banu from now on in the novel :( for once i'm hoping that they they change the ending for the drama a little bit, the novel ending is just way too painful to watch on screen.
Re: Dastaan - A drama on Partition (Hum tv)
^so that mean she will change herself to sikh now that she going to have baby. in other episode she said she will never marry him etc. then why did she married that sikh?
i wonder next kya hoga.
Re: Dastaan - A drama on Partition (Hum tv)
^ i don't think she had a choice in getting married, she was sexually and physically abused into submission.

thanks DB
Re: Dastaan - A drama on Partition (Hum tv)
There's a limit to how much suffering a person can bear to watch and I think this drama has reached it. Hope Bano gets some form of closure especially since happiness is not on the cards. On a lighter note it's nice to see Mehreen in the drama she looks absolutely gorgeous.
Re: Dastaan - A drama on Partition (Hum tv)
Yes Mehreen Raheel is looking beautiful in a shalwar qameez and dupatta. I think this is the first time I'm seeing her in desi clothes :)
Re: Dastaan - A drama on Partition (Hum tv)
finally Mehreen wala part aa gya
