Dastaan - A drama on Partition (Hum tv)

LOOKS TERRIFIC, from the promo.

Staring: Sanam Baloch, Fawad Khan (of EP =D), Ahsan Khan, Samina Peerzada, Qavi Khan, Sangeeta, Mahreen Raheel.

Re: Dastaan - A drama on Partition (Hum tv)

Drama looks amazing and sooo intense!

Re: Dastaan - A drama on Partition (Hum tv)

yeah this one looks SUPER INTENSE!! I don't know if I'll be able to watch it :( But boy I really do like Fawad Khan's acting and it is so hard to catch him in good productions these days!
Has anyone read Razia Butt's original novel?

Re: Dastaan - A drama on Partition (Hum tv)

i think there was similar drama on geo a couple of years ago based on partition named woh tees din. this looks very similar to that

Re: Dastaan - A drama on Partition (Hum tv)

Topic of drama does not interest me much, but overall looks a fine production. Fawad khan has not done much acting, and more importantly quality acting, so I am not expecting any better from him in this one either.

Re: Dastaan - A drama on Partition (Hum tv)

It looks the same as other dramas on partition......not very interesting for me.

Re: Dastaan - A drama on Partition (Hum tv)

I find partition stories so fascinating, this seems like a fresh take on the usual stuff.

Re: Dastaan - A drama on Partition (Hum tv)

i think it is made well, but i hate such depressing dramas. i am sorry i will not watch it at all.

Re: Dastaan - A drama on Partition (Hum tv)

I might just watch it for Fawad Khan :jano:

Re: Dastaan - A drama on Partition (Hum tv)

Wow, looks great :k:

I definitely want to watch.

i dnt like Razia butt :bummer:

Re: Dastaan - A drama on Partition (Hum tv)

Yeah looks like a good production

Re: Dastaan - A drama on Partition (Hum tv)

just watching the promo had my blood boiling…

PAK Zindabad! :jhanda:

Re: Dastaan - A drama on Partition (Hum tv)

Did you guys watch it!!! it is soooo good!!! btw guys what was the name of the Razia Butt novel Dastaan is based on? anddddddd does anyone know who sings the song for its promo?

The first episode was good, it seems to get a hold on the audience. Im looking forward for the next episode. I like how they're setting the initial scenes (Muslim League, the extended families and Bano with Hassan)!!

I think the novel is Bano.

Re: Dastaan - A drama on Partition (Hum tv)

Yes the novel is called Bano if I am right.
The first episode was really good. Story seems interesting. Looks like it has a comical touch to it. Fawad and Sanam did a fine job; thier characters and chemistry looks interesting.

Re: Dastaan - A drama on Partition (Hum tv)

thanks for the feedback guys. I might have to catch this one :-)

edit:
saw the first epi and it reminded me of the old Bajjiya plays where women would wear ghararas and cover their heads with dupatta and the men would wear shalwar kameez :-) It sounds ironic but it was refreshing to see the mashriqiyat in this drama. Gosh I haven't seen people wear burqas on TV in ages!
And the Sanam-Fawad scenes were cute :-) Very novel-ish haha!
Let's see if they keep it light hearted - doubt it - serious stuff coming up soon I'm sure.
Props to the set director for creating the Perfect ambience!

Did anyone watch the 2nd episode yet? It gets more interesting and better!! Sanam and Fawad's acting together have been wonderfully done.

The director has done an excellent job in portraying these scenes exactly how it would have been in those days. We can see a sense of reality in the drama.

Excited for the 3rd episode!! How did you all find it?

Re: Dastaan - A drama on Partition (Hum tv)

Saw the 2nd episode. Must say drama looks an awesome production by every episode. Love the comical touch to the story brought by Sanam and Fawad's chemistry. Actors have performed well, including Fawad surprisingly. Can't wait for the 3rd episode.

Re: Dastaan - A drama on Partition (Hum tv)

this drama was recommended highly by my sister but I haven't see it yet...

off topic, but there is a new one "yaariyan"...I think on geo (not sure) with the same girl as from meri zaat zarra e benishaan...alongwith Faisal Qureishi and Ijaz`Aslam....and others...
