There are many muslims who also refute the Quantum theory since they believe, like Einstein, that God does not play dice...
What if randomness is such by design, be that any level. Scientists do contend that we are a branch of sapiens who just got lucky, but what if that was part of God's plan?
I know that people do take the story of Adam and Eve in the literal sense, but why can it not be allegorical when God says:
He it is Who hath revealed unto thee (Muhammad) the Scripture wherein are clear revelations - they are the substance of the Book - and others (which are) allegorical.. But those in whose hearts is doubt pursue, forsooth, that which is allegorical seeking (to cause) dissension by seeking to explain it. None knoweth its explanation save Allah. And those who are of sound instruction say: We believe therein; the whole is from our Lord; but only men of understanding really heed.
My intent is not to create discord, but to point out that creation of Adam seems to me like an allegory, and to assign a meaning (literal or hidden) is equivalent to the bold part of the verse. Just my thought...
