any quick fix/cure for dandruff/oily scalp/flakes? ![]()
Re: dandruff…
there is no fix for dandruff. it’s a life long problem ![]()
don’t use those clarifying shampoos too much. don’t wash the hair every day. instead, every other day. unless you have fine hair, and it greases up real quickly, then you have no choice but to wash them everyday. also, don’t wash the hair with hot water. just warm…or as cold as you can stand it. do what i do…shower with the kind of water you’re comfortable with, then quickly at the end rinse your hair with cold water. umm freaky…but it works.
Re: dandruff…
I’ve tried to cut down to shampooing twice a week, only rinsing every other day
Fortunately (or not) it shows up more when the hair is greasy and oily.
I know dandruff and dry scalp and oily scalp are completley differnet things… dandruff is a serious condition and blahblah..
Why can’t we just have naturaly nice hair like other girls ![]()
Re: dandruff...
yea the key is to have clean hair. but if you wash out the natural oils (yes they are good for you) too much, a) the scalp tries to fix that by producing more oil. b) your scalp is drying out too much, and the flakes start to occur.
That is what my observation has been. I have oily scalp...but a big big dandruff problem. Garnier has this awesome line of shampoo and condition, Greasy Roots Dry Ends...try that.
Re: dandruff…
really? i havnt noticed it here?

Re: dandruff...
Use either Nizorol shampoo or risen your hair with vinegar, wash out the vingar with water. The vinegar actully makes your hair super shiny and silky.
Re: dandruff...
May help if you take 'HairVit' tablets as they contain essential vitamins/minerals that help the overall condition of your hair.
Re: dandruff...

Re: dandruff...
i use T Gel anti dandruff and it works superbaly it really works coz i have tried it on me and i have the same problem of greasy hairs but i heard that boil some mint tea and wash ur hair with that after shampoing and conditioning and rinse it out with water but havn't tried it yet i might try it this week end
Re: dandruff...
its not full tea but yeh sort of
Re: dandruff...
Use Selsun Blue. It will get rid of any dandruff. But use it only about twice a week and otherwise just rinse your hair, no shampooing. The more you wash your hair with shampoo the more your hair/scalp will become oily. And plus its cold now maybe that is why dandruff is appearing.
Re: dandruff...
i used to have severe dandruff and i noticed that it went away after i dyed my hair and got a perm last summer. i wonder if the chemicals killed the dandruff. anyways, after my perm, i used only head and shoulders mint shampoo and i haven't seen dandruff in a year.
Re: dandruff...
k this isnt really about dandruff but I didnt feel like opening another topic.. what do u do if ur hair is thinning out.. like ur can start to see ur scalp.. its relli annoying cuz when I shower and stuff my hair is so thing in the front that u can start to see my scalp.. help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: dandruff...
You should start another topic on that.
Is it thinning all over or in some parts? Because sometimes if we part our hair, we start to lose hair from that area.
Re: dandruff…
Use head and shoulders … :halo:
Re: dandruff…
its thinning from the front..
Re: dandruff...
Do you part your hair from the front then?
