I know in many ways people consider dancing wrong…religously not encouraged.
But what if you just like it? What if you just want to learn different types because you actually like to dance?
Is that considered bad?

I actually love dancing. Namely bhangra. I am good at it..but plan on taking bhangra classes for fun here in Toronto!

@Reha as long as your neeyat is saaf then dance whether there are guys or no guys in your class. if you arenot comfy then avoid it.

I love it and right now am taking some classes...might take more later on. But it just sucks when something you enjoy so much is looked down upon!

It is looked down upon only if like to do it in front of men. If you dance for your husband or behind closed door where only women are watching then it is not as taboo.

Infront of men, not jayaz.
Infront of women, jayaz but it should not involve inappropriate behaviour, still gotta care about the basic morality codes n all.

If that makes you uncomfortable, you can attend women's only classes. They're pretty common everywhere. Shrug

What if the husband doesn't want to see his wife dancing but do more cooking and cleaning? Desi wives are known for letting go of their bodies after marriage and yikes them on a pole....
