DANCE PARTY in Lahore

did anyone watched “DANCE PARTY IN LAHORE” yesterday on ARY Digital at around 7pm-8pm (I dont remember the program name)… I wonder where are we going? Young galz and guys were dancing like we have never done it here in US :taubah:

and above all in the interview (some cheap actress) said, this SHOULD happen every week as this will help SOCIETY “relax” from the tensions…

:nono: :lahol: :nono4:

^^ you is so right

Re: DANCE PARTY in Lahore

Yeah I saw that!!!!

First time I saw a filmstar actually dance WELL.

Man, that Laila had her groove on.

Although, it is a bit disturbing. I dunno why, it just is. Kinda hollow.

Re: DANCE PARTY in Lahore

why does it bother you, its there life.

Re: DANCE PARTY in Lahore

I didn't see the tv program you are referring to, but the fact that dance parties are held in various parts of Pakistan should come as no surprise. There are different types of people in all societies.

You may not be the dance party type, so whereever in the world you live in, you'd stay away from it. There are other people from Pak origin, who frequent dance parties here in the US/Canada and they will do so when they are in Pakistan. Just because we don't interact with those people doesn't mean they don't exist.

Feel free to pass judgements on all these people, because I am sure they pass judgements on you too (mullah type etc). Television is a reflection of our society, so its getting more progressive every day. Roshan khiyaali is the spice of the day.

Re: DANCE PARTY in Lahore

well said, some ppl just need a life/

Re: DANCE PARTY in Lahore

Were they grinding? How about freak dancing?

Too bad desi girls aint got no booty, otherwise TURBO BOOTY!!!!!!

Re: DANCE PARTY in Lahore

That is the thing that bothers me a lot. TV is not portraying our society. Our media is more and more following bollywood, as their movies has nothing to do with the ground realities. If TV is showing what’s happening in every 2nd home in Pakistan, then I guess I am out-of-touch (which I don’t think is a case)

Re: DANCE PARTY in Lahore

well i don’t think that’s necessarily true. i mean these things are happening (dance clubs, etc.), and that’s why they’re being shown on tv. they may seem a little wild to us, especially those that have never been club hopping..but they happen none the less.

for example, look at the drama ‘sunn leyna’ - now..they have shown a couple of scenes at a club (granted the drama is shot in malaysia, but these characters in the drama are shown as muslims)..forget dancing, they shown drinking going on. so somwhere..underground this stuff is going on..and instead of saying that this stuff doesn’t happen, i think we need to be realistic about it, and accept that things are changing (maybe not for the better..but they are)

Re: DANCE PARTY in Lahore

I am not saying its not happening but its not common in masses, don’t you think so? Media has to portray the majority of population and not the minority. For example, in every 2nd drama now a day has “Tawaif” in the main role, do you think that’s also VERY common in Pakistan? 51% of the Pakistanis go to Tawaif’s Kothas? Wrong! I guess only 5 % or less have ever been to one of the Kotha…

Re: DANCE PARTY in Lahore

decent chora....majority gets tired of watching people like them doing same things they do....might as well go to a rishtay daar's house and watch the same scenes unfold. drama must be DRAMA(tic).....they need to add glamour and stuff that the majority considers scandalous to attract them into watching. wouldnt be gossip worthy if they did not do that.

Re: DANCE PARTY in Lahore

Big deal. Let them have fun. People all have different ways of entertaining themselves. This whole thing with the "Interaction" between men and women should be encouraged, as it will help to diminish many of the problems faced in that and other Muslim countries.

Re: DANCE PARTY in Lahore

Yes, it is a big deal to do wrong. The psychology of all this sum is that we all speak when we see wrong, and when we do speak... many will speak to defend what is wrong.

Sadly, there is nothing that can stop once haraam spreads, and this will lead all the way to your seed and many generations to come. Don't forget your future is important and if you dont believe in your future... then you must be an atheist :)

Muslim countries do not face any problem, it is your culture, that faces problem and the result of that is kids like you. :)

Blame not Islam for what it is, Blame your culture that tries to mold Islam into it.

And regarding 'Interaction' with men and women. If you can prove the fact that you can see your sister dancing with some guy; Then yes i will believe in your way of interaction. And if you cant' then again, blame your Culture; its in your blood.

Again, what is haraam is haraam, do not go near it.

Re: DANCE PARTY in Lahore

I missed that program and after reading all the posts i say thank god i missed it !!

Re: DANCE PARTY in Lahore

Television is a reflection of the extremes in our society. I don’t think that dance parties in Lahore are as common as they appear on TV.

Re: DANCE PARTY in Lahore

Who's blaming Islam? I simply stated that the interaction between men and women should be encouraged. There's nothing wrong with it.

If I had a sister who was brought up knowing the difference between right and wrong, knowing her limitations, and if she was old enough to make her own decisions, then yes, I have no problem seeing her dancing with some guy. Care to explain what the big deal is? It's not they're having orgies at these dance parties.

BTW, I'm far from being a kid, so I don't appreciate those types of comments.

Re: DANCE PARTY in Lahore

I dunno what Roshan khiyaali means to you. But the way you expressed you POV, it seems like Roshan Khiyaali is something that religion has nothing to do with

Re: DANCE PARTY in Lahore

What is roshan khiyaali?

Re: DANCE PARTY in Lahore

Roshan = Bright
Khiyaali = Thoughts

or better say Open mindness :)
