Furniture, appliances etc are all my dads areas of concern
fashion, makeup, clothes are the things i need to buy on my own so i need some ideas.
budget is no problem...so please just give some ideas; although i have a list made already but i just feel i am missing out on some things.

1st make general list of things u want e.g
1.makeup(products,brusehes,makeup cleanser etc)
2.perfumes(body perfumes,room freshner etc)
3.clothes(bridal wear,party wear,
4.shoes(sandles,boots etc)
5.decoration stuff(frames,candles etc)
6.hair accessories(clips,ponys,hair chater etc)
7.lotions n creams(eg body products,hair products n skin etc)
8.hair removing machine(if u use)
9.hair straightner or curler etc(if u r usung or u like 2 use it )
10.hair dryer(i think eske zarorat huge:P)
baki stuff tu apke abu kare hai .ab jo apne ke hai ess ke detais me ar jana pare ga eg if u starts from makeup then its like ;-
1.fondation
2.powder
3.liner
4.mascara
5.lipstick
6.lip gloss
7.blushes
8.eye shadows
9.pallette(must buy1 at leat osme sare colors hute hai )
10.shimmers(body n face )
hp u didnt miss anything n hp i didnt:P

I think the most imp/prominennt thing (that should be new) is the clothes nad jewelery. Other than that, everything else u can use what u already have or just keep buying it. IMO buying every single thing brand new (when u already have a lot) jst seems to be for showing off…srry :halo:

*hair dryer ap deek lai keya oske guarantee katam tu nahi huwe ar agr hai tu ketna ar chalay ga agr ek do months mai katam hure hai tu buy new n give the old to sis lol
*i'll say the same abt the cloths if u have dresses jo apke inlaws ne nahi deke tu lai jao ar agr apne sirf 1 ya do baar koe dress pehna hai tu woh be lai gai sath tu koe fark nahi parta u can use it later shadi kai suru mai nahi tu aram sai baad mai pehan sakte hu.

Thats a helpful list thanks...i certainly didn't miss the things as in makeup etc but yeah i need to write down what i need in cosmetics etc.

I do have loads of stuff and a lot of things which i have bought are not used but i am just adding stuff to the ones which i already have and don't use for now (just in case) as well as it will only increase my things...however makeup is not my only concern because i have like loads of it like professional people do i just don't use it :S - clothes, jewelery shoes etc same goes for them as well - and i will use the good ones which i have already used before as well but this list is just to take some load of my shoulders and know what to get, what to buy and where to go thats all :)
Lol not showing off but you know when you are new and all its ok to use the used stuff if its good but it looks bad when you open a blush and its broken or scratched which i don’t mind using now or later on when there won’t be any spot light on my head…

Nah, i believe agar chaant waant kar achi cheezein jo aapkay paas hai woh blahay say nay dekhi hain you can take them along with you - like i have really good clothes etc which i have worn once twice but they are still as good as new so i don't mind taking them along with me since i would obviously live there after a few months so i'd need to have mix clothes for other days as well, i can't just keep on taking out new brand clothes all my life...but then the first few days when if not the in-laws then the people who come to meet and all do check out stuff like kaisay kapray pehnay, kitnay kangan, dekhay huay ya nahi etc...just like makeup if something is good and it looks good on you you would use it regardless of whether its chipped or broken here and there but when you go out and take such things out of the purse even if they are branded and highly expensive people would give you the weird look and all..

What about a home in Beverly Hills , A BMW car add these to the list and leave everything out.
How on earth will anybody know what you can afford to include in your dowry and what is expected of you by your future in laws, you should be asking this question to them, if they do not want anything then why sweat over it ?

way ahead of ya sunshine, brother got married a few years ago, I told him to demand a lota in dowry.
a stainless steel one is best. med weight, if its too heavy to start with then with water its tougher to use.
some ppl like the matte finish, the peetal ka lota, they are classic and light but I dont like the look. a chrome finish stainless steel one is the best.
the key is that the top of the lota must be grip friendly.
