Mehreen, when you make a drama, did you put in your mind to get some international award. How many international award Pakistani dramas took.
Why our dramas are not taking awad in USA, UK, France, Germany. Please explain.

Salaams everyone. Thought I would respond to some of the comments. I agree with the fact that there are too many flashbacks. If it was up to me I would not use any or very little but episodes jab chotey par jaatey hain to producers sey pressure bohat hota hai to increase the timing so this is the only way to do it because we don't have extra scenes shot. I also agree that this should have been 15 or max 16 episodes but again we (i.e the director and the writer) have to be considerate to the producers who lose out money if there are less episodes than a certain amount that they have budgeted for. This is the unfortunate down side of television, ratings and commercial entertainment. It can't entirely be only for the story itself even though all of us try very hard to keep true to the content. Hope despite all the shortcomings all of you do watch till the end because there's lot more coming :) Take care,

im luking fwd to ur new projects....but plz cast achi ho.....i dont want to see faisal qureshi,imran abbas,adnan siddiqui,humayun saeed,sarwat gillani,Ayesha khan,faisal rehman etc etc,, im sick of them ughhh............
i want to see different faces in ur new serial....plzzzz

Mehreen i thing Sanam baloch is doing her best with you.
Try to bring the old actress like Arifa Siddiqi, Nida Mumtaz, Huma Nawab etc. It will be a great change.

No zenia is an indian actress, named as deepti gupta
where as asma is a pakistani actress...sorry forgot her name
but both are amazing actresses...the common thing between them is their amazing acting skill and very strong voice

I agree. One of the reasons Daam rates high on my weekly to-watch list is because of it's fresh casting, not to forget other great things abt the serial. All the new actors are doing an awesome job, while ironically it is the seasoned artistes (Behroze Sabzwari) who end up overacting!

and btw i didn't think the flashbacks in this particular episodes were unnecessary. I think they fit very well in the theme of the episode. zara is crushed and is thinking about the good times, which is very natural.

I had no clue the mamu is behroz! I think he's acting well. If an actor is making me hate him because of the character he is playing, then he's doing a good job.
I agree, the cast is fresh... zara's family, junaid, fiza... I've never seen those actors before.
This is the best drama I've seen in recent times.

daam cast is really nice....zarori nahi k senior artists hi serial ko hit karain....it's been proved by daam tht new artists can make a serial hit......

I watched the OST again..and i realized that the drama still has an important turn..cos we see Zara dressed in kurta pants...sort of a different look for her..and we get to see some cute moments b/w zara and junaid which havent taken place yet..so im definitely looking forward to those twists and turns....i wonder how longthe drama will be for...no complaints though...awesome job by Mehreen Jabbar and ofcorse the cast as well. :)
