Absolutely love masoor (orange) daal and tuvar/arhar (yellow flat one). Usually have it with plain white rice and spicyyyy mango pickle. Yummm! I am craving it now. :yummy:

arhar key daal , it is yellow , round and bigger than masoor daal.

i looove channa daal with a chunky slice of toasted brown seeded bread with lots of butter on it. its soo yum and that's what i had for dinner tonight

Sabaat maassar - the small dark brown one with white rice and Channa daal and mutton with white rice :k:

btw daal names in Pak are quite different I guess, I have never heard arahar ,urid etc in Pakistan..

MASOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOR ki daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal........:p...love it with ghee ka tarka ......if i dont find tarka enough then i put a gooooooooooooooooooooooood amount of makhan on top of it....waaaaaaaaaaaah.....wahhh...i am craving for it now:(

Falafel, you got so excited :omg: … do you actually put butter on top of the masoor daal? :eek: .. does it not give a raw butter taste?

yaaaa:p....the thought of masooor n butter excite me....and when you put makhan on garam daal then it just melts down in a sec....and gives such a brilliant taste:p
