8. Rather than giving away wedding favors, donate the money you are planning to use for that towards a charity or cause that is important to you. Have guest cards at each place setting that explain what you are doing.

That’s really tacky. Giving money to charity is great, but it should be a personal thing. Announcing it to your guests is in poor taste.
