Re: Wikileaks exposé makes it clear: Everybody hates Iran
This isn't very interesting, but it shows most Arab countries would back the US and Israel in the event if Iran is attacked by either country. So much for Ummah.
That's true. In my opinion Iran should give up its adamant support of Palestinian cause, which is the main reason why America is after it (Israel=America, in this case).
If Palestine problem is taken out of equation then Iran is a natural ally of America.
Re: Wikileaks exposé makes it clear: Everybody hates Iran
I wonder whether the likes of Saudi would hate them as much if Iran were Sunni and not Shia... Whatever its worth, if one had to choose, I would rather see Saudis downed then the Irani's. Those Wahabis are the worst thing to hit the Muslim world since the Mongols.
Re: "Cut off the head of the snake", Saudi king urged U.S. to attack Iran.
But what about Muslim Unity, brotherhood, and stuff?
About Team Fanatic, I think if there are any fanatics anywhere it's Saudis themselves. Not a single Iranian has ever been found involved in any terrorism activity anywhere in the world, but we know where the 9/11 attackers came from. This is just one example.
Also keep in mind that rhetoric aside, Iran has never done a single act of fanaticism. This is recognized even by Israelis.
Re: "Cut off the head of the snake", Saudi king urged U.S. to attack Iran.
We the people from the third world country will say and do anything to make gora sahab habby(happy) , we might be doing taqqia while saying something but our intentions is different. I hope that is what was going on with King Abdullah when he said what he said.
Re: "Cut off the head of the snake", Saudi king urged U.S. to attack Iran.
with friends like these, who needs a foe!
If you don't believe me, just research the relations between Pak and Iran for the last 30 years. They haven't been exactly friendly. The Iranians are a BIG destabilizing factor in Pak, along with India and Saudi Arabia.

So how is it partly justified?
What about the Saudis give us free oil because we are Muslim brothers? This is a cutthroat world, you gotta look out for yourself, not for others.
I agree with you 1000% that Saudis are the most fanatic. In fact, there aren't even that many restrictions in Iran, like on women and stuff as there are in Saudi Arabia. Iran is pretty liberal compared to the Saudis. But, there is no doubt that there current leadership is a group of raving fanatics. It will be much better for everybody, I think if the more liberal Mousavi came into power...
I say it's partly justified because everyone, except Pak is thinking about furthering their own goals. With India already on our doorstep, I'd rather not have the Iranians become strong too. Maintain the status quo. No need for more nuclear powers. You gotta look at it like this. Pakistan already has nuclear tech. Now it's in Pakistan's interests not to let other nations come on the same level. As I said, cutthroat competition.

M.E. monarchies will hate Iran in either case.
I think Iran wants to be a regional power & that is why its doing everything it can to support like minded groups in the trouble region (Hezbollah/Hamas) and get nukes too. But I agree with your assessment that if Iran stops being direct or indirect threat to Israel the US would lose interest in Iran as well.

BIG? kindly elaborate on this. And what destabilization are you talking about? if its the broad term "terrorism" then the saudis and Zia are to be blamed.

How would Iran's acquisition affect Pakistan? Iran is not a threat to Pakistan, its one to Israel. The whole debate is an exaggeration to maintain Israel's hegemony in the middle east. Iran's acquisition of nuclear weapons would in fact bring a strong stabilizing factor in the middle east, something which Israel and Americans would never want.

Israel should stop being a direct threat to palestinians and Iran would stop supporting Hezbollah/hamas.
Re: "Cut off the head of the snake", Saudi king urged U.S. to attack Iran.
^^ that is what Israel and Americans want us to think. Firstly, should Iran acquire nuclear weapons it would be a stablizing force to check the power of Israel ( which is the real concern for Israel). Secondly, Iran would never dare use the weapons because Israel would retaliate in a similar fashion. In fact Israel is a crazy country bent on carving out their greater israel on the map not Iran. your concerns are unsubstantiated.

AS I said earlier, if it was in my hand, no one would have nuclear weapons except Pakistan. Pakistan has already reached that level, it's in our interests to keep others behind. All about power.

its not always about power. Why hasnt Pakistan still recognized Israel? Pakistan should probably get along with the jewish state like every other country. We believe the Israelis are transgressing...right? Iran's acquisition of nuclear weapons would be great victory for Islam as well. by the way Pakistan and Iran are not in an arms race and there is no connection or interrelationship between Pakistan's and Iran's arsenal. As i said ealier, Iran is a threat to Israel and that too only because a nuclear Iran would curb their hegemony in the region. I hope the iranians do get the bomb one day.

your anguish and sympathy is kabile tarif and reserved for indian kashmiri muslims only, here you are ready to finish two most important muslim countries ? any way you are clear muslims are shia, sunni, wahabi, ahmadiya, qadiayni ,ismaily, which one is real muslim ? where is this muslim world which is under threat?

better you drop one bomb on taliban and test if it is real atomic bomb, because stolen bombs you have are without operating instructions or genuine papers.because israelis are famous for planting fake and bogus war machinery in not so freindly countries ,smuggling of illegal war materials are run in very
deceptive and forged manners, you must be in knowledge of how pakistani generals succeded in procuring parts of atomic thing you call bomb.
