I see** Victoria Beckham** hasn't put on a lb and nor has Angelina Jolie. :/
As much as your £1 pound magazines like to talk about her, she belongs to the world of high fashion where they would kill to have a skinny, tall, lean look of a model. This is the world Victoria mentally and practically belongs to, I doubt she'd care about putting an lb, just because Heat magazine flaunted images of Beyonce or Christina Hendricks. Bring on the Vogue chicks for Ms Beckham.
Angelina however should go back to her physique from Alexander and Mrs and Mrs Smith days, even then she did have a plumy, voluptuous or what we call 'curvy' figure, she just wasn't as frail looking as she is these days.
Re: Curves are back!
^I'm just going to ignore your post. I don't know what you're on about, seriously.

What? LOL
I'm just answering your question why you'd never see Victoria Beckham becoming Christina Hendricks, because the part of the industry she belongs to, where voluptuous curves are not desired or required at least.
I still don't understand what so offended you? How else you were expecting me to answer why VB or Angie aren't putting on any weight? LOL
Re: Curves are back!
What do you mean "the part of industry she belongs to"? It was VB herself who said she won't hire size zero models for her catwalk?

lol. Have you ever seen her ramp models?
Re: Curves are back!
^They’re size 4-6, not 0.
Anyway, something new for you to read.

Re: Curves are back!
LOL…It maybe something new to you and you are free to get all inspired by celebrity gossip magazines and sites, but don’t live under some silly illusion that these celebs give Holy status to these magazines. Most of them wouldn’t like to spit on them and if they had the power they would happily sue all the editors of these gossip magazines. In case you’re thinking that VB or Angie would change their image simply because entertainment weekly or Heat made a headline that ‘Curves are back’.
Frankly speaking none of such weight crap or body image criticism would be found in high ranked magazines like Vogue, Tatler, Harper Bazaar, Vanity Fair, W etc magazines that hold some importance in the eyes of A-List celebs and in the world of glamour. We may not like to think about it, but these celebs are greatly sheltered from the crap that gets written about them in gossip magazine. So I was just amused by your OP.
Re: Curves are back!
^So in simple words, you’re saying that curves are not back?

o](http://lavidafashion.com/2009/03/22/vogue-magazine-is-loving-curves/)h and the recent cover of Rihanna for Vogue.
I think you’re getting the wrong end of the stick, I’m not saying if AJ and VB should or shouldn’t lose or put on weight. Who knows, they might put on some weight if the trend continues.

They still look pretty 'skinny' to me. And the trend to hire sickly looking anorexic girls is long gone.
Re: Curves are back!
No you are taking things way to literally, the world is not all black and white.
In my opinion, curves never went anywhere.
What is your point anyway? Likes of Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Helle Berry, Jennifer Lopez, Salma Hayak, Monica Belluci, Laetitia Casta, have all been gracing the Vogue covers since last decades over and over again. But hey curves are because Rihanna is on the latest cover… I’m sorry but you sound so new to all this. And I wonder what would you say if in the next issue you see skinny Angie on the cover of Vogue?
I say curves are back when I start seeing plus size voluptuous models on the ramp. Celebs are meant to be admired and give coverage no matter in what size or shape they come, because they’re not only known for their looks.
Re: Curves are back!
I say curves are back when I start seeing plus size voluptuous models on the ramp. .
That's all I wanted to know, the rest of your rant was useless. Thanks for this input.
Re: Curves are back!
Anyway, I personally love toned curves and in my opinion VB and AJ and alikes should put on some weight, they will look better with the curves.
Re: Curves are back!
....And I stand by my words, this whole sexing up of curves, flaunting of va va voom vulgarity, doing then and Now comparison and making a headline saying 'is she suffering from eating disorder' next to every celebs image is the thing for gossip magazines. Vogue may have Rihanna on the cover but you would never see a bucket full of pictures and frustrated articles dissing the slim and slender females of the industry.

why does curves have to mean plus size?

This is a completely off topic post but I wouldn't move it as you might take it personally. I didn't even mention a magazine, it was several websites and some comments by common people like yourself. I don't read Heat or Vogue and all that crap, I don't have extra money and time for that.
I basically saw a lot of celebs having curves in their recent pics and I thought yes they all look better with the curves.

You really can't take difference of perspectives can you?
You are welcome but I was really expecting you to get half of the information in posts.
Re: Curves are back!
why does curves have to mean plus size?
Its just a sad old term used in high fashion. The so called plus size would be size 10 or above on the ramp.
I personally don't like the word curves to use it against skinny women. I believe every woman has curves even if she's on the skinner side. I still see 'curves' in Angelina and VB's body, they look like females to me. They just aren't very voluptuous looking women, and thats a totally different thing.
Re: Curves are back!
Difference of perspective? lol
I didn't ask for your opinion on Vogue vs cheapy magazines.
You might have a lot of knowledge on celebs and magz but it doesn't reject the fact that most celebs or even people look better with the curves and if the fashion industry goes all curvy it will have a good effect every individual especially the teen age girls.
Re: Curves are back!
I am of the opinion that what looks good on you is what should be the "inn" for you whether it be the colors, cuts or even figure :).
