An18 years old committed suicide cause his roommate and another friend video taped his homosexual sexcapades and uploaded on internet.
It was not about being homo or not, Youtube is full of jerkjhead desis who posted their sexual encounters with their desi girlfriends. I am not sure if its because they were ticked at their GFs or just to show it off to their male friends.
More social media websites evolve, more reasons I see the damage they bring to the society than any good.

Indeed when such resources are misused its very sickening.
Like many things such as terrorism fo example the actions of a few almost nihilist sub humans ruin it for the majority of people.
I would not go so far as to curse or label it as a youtube curse, rather it is the individuals who misuse it that are cursed.

This may sound too fanatic, but a scholar once said (and I laughed at that time) that every invention of science, no matter how good it looks when its invented, will eventually be harmful for the humans. Somehow, I am slowly getting convinced. Slowly- I said, so dont grill me to death on this.

Oh dear! Thats terrible! But unfortunately, it isn't the first case to have been brought to attention. Cyber bullying, eventually leading to depression and sometimes suicide, is pretty common these days. What the scholar said is absolutely true! Another saying goes "The difference between a medicine and a poison is in the dose... everything is toxic!" Internet has a long list of advantages but there is a whole list of shortcomings too. The use of internet isn't worrying, its misuse is.

If I dont give you a weapon, you would not think of killing someone at instinct because you just cant. Youtube, facebook and many other websites are becoming such weapons. They take care of your hatred for someone instantly by you posting pics and crap against them (regardless of the fact whether the crap is true or not), so you need to blame the provider of such weapons, although I agree that the real responsibility goes to the indvidual.

but TLK bhai a person has been given a brain too by god, he should realize the repercussions of his dumb actions. i would suggest psychological counseling and hopefully jail time for these jilted guys. why not just take away internet access from them then. they aren't children. there have been kids that have committed suicide b/c a bunch of internet bullies were mentally harassing them to the point where they just couldn't take it.
do we get rid of all these social networking sites or do we punish the people that are haphazard and idiotic with their actions. they shouldn't be excused just b/c it's the internet.
we don't blame facebook, youtube or any other site we blame and punish the idiotic people b/c they forgot to use that all important brain god gave them.

It's not youtube's fault when you can't keep your private life private. I have learned so much from youtube.. ie how to make butter chicken, how to put fakelashes on etc hehe.. but seriously, youtube is the best thing that happened to us.

LOL , the other day I came across a YT video of a desi auntie beating the boy who was having a date with her daughter. He said he does not love her daughter and the daughter was saying to him , why you have chickened out in front of these people. So fun. I hope it was a made up video.

I think my favorite video is still the one that Pareezay posted of this pakistani news anchorman standing at Karachi railway station trying to report the eid rush and people keep coming between him and the cameraman. His frustrating reaction to all that was so hilarious that I laughed my tears out.
