yeah, when i went to my khala's wedding in pak, my poor cousin had to take her mehndi off because it wasnt allowed at her school.. so her mom was rubbing bleach on her hands, making her wash hands with those dishwashing powders and what not.. 2 days later, it did get VERY light but the smell was so overbearing. apparently, bleach is the famous tip in pak for removal of mehndi. i think it's torture!
yeah some schools in Pakistan don't allow mehndi...:(
although i have never tried and tested it,but i have heard that bleach cream (the one u use on face, and not for laundry...:D) can be used to lighten mehndi from hands....
How can you not like it, its so lovely! I mean i can understand not liking the sitting around and lack of pateince/time or like if u gotta go to work and stuff…but otherwise…
Anyways, like i told catty..stickers/temporary mehndi is cool… also, someone suggested that using a mud mask would remove alot of it..but i haven’t used it yet (b/c i dont want to remove mine ) lol..
my kameez was pure silk, the lehenga was silk jamavar and the dupatta was silk and net. i think it depends on if you want something super flowy and layered, like silk chiffon, or if you want something more fitted, then you'd need a more structured fabric.
i think most kameezes end up being silk in some form or another. its the lehengas and dupattas that vary.
That makes sense! I just spoke to the designer and she said she will do the lengha of Jamawaar (whatever that is) and the shirt of a different clothe that
has a great fit :o
