No one is saying he is not a good pitcher. But fact of the matter is the Yankees have his number. And he is an average pitcher (read 9-9) against them. On top of that, he is a pussy who wouldn't have done what he did if heoitched in the National league. His ass would have ended up in the hospital.
My comments were edited by Ehsan but it had a point. You don't know baseball and you don't know pedro martinez. Pedro started his career in National league and he had hit many more hitters there than AL. Just because he does not have to bat in AL does not make him pussy. Like I said ERA under 3 says alot about him. And don't forget that he pitches against some really good yankee pitchers so if his record is .500 it isn't all bad. Kabaddi for matsui :)

Pedro has four pitches now that he can pinpoint with accuracy than he did when he played for CHi or MOnt, he is a far different pitcher and mor ecapable pitcher now than he ever was in the Naitonal league. it was a long time ago..but they did make it to the play offs, and did go to the world series...
which is in sharp contrast to some team which had many chances but choked..and never made it to the world series..meaning it never won the playoffs. Would it be repetitive if i mantioned that I mean the astros? :)
