What do you guys think? Can it happen? I dont know maybe this is the year that curse is finally lifted from both franchises. Billy the Goat curse for cubbies and bambino curse for Red Sox. Personally, I will like nothing more than Braves beating the snot out of the cubs.
It seems pretty unlikely that boston can beat oakland and cubs beating braves. i would like to see a brave and oakland world series

I think if Pedro can pitch 4 games in a series they have a chance. Plus, the Yanks have pedro's number. PLus, Ztio and Lily aren't too shabby.
i will enjoy seeing the red sox cry when their team loses again, it'll be great. my prediction: in game six against the yankees, BY Kim will blow the lead and hand the series to the Yanks.
In the NL, if the Cubs make it past the Braves, they will probably lose to the Giants who are too experienced and have the game's best player.
Either way, theeeeee Yankees win, theeeeee Yankees win.

Rather sad that even after winning teh central division 5 times in teh last seven years they made to to the world series this many times ---> ZERO
^^ I knew it was coming. Its all fun. I know they have not amde it to the world series, but how many other teams have? In baseball making the playoffs is a much harder and big accomplishment as compared to the other sports.
Personally, I will like to see
1. drayton McLane sell the team, which he will do after the All-Star game next year in Houston.
2. Get rid of Captain hook (Jimmy Williams). I can count atleast 7 games that he lost because he took out the starter for no apparent reason, and astros went on to loose the game.
3. Get rid of Biggio and find a real center fielder.
Anyhow, I hope Cubbies play their little heart out against the braves, becasue they are not going any further.
I think that if it wasn't for the lone win agianst Clevland. The braves would be the Bills of baseball. I think they already are. I mean...come on..gimme that pitching staff and I can give you the world series, year after year. Losers !!!

So what are Astros doing? watching the games on TV like everyone else now?
Yeah, they will try to do the samething that Cubbies have done for the past seven years. Unlike Cubs they will not get used to it, as they have shown before. They will be back to claim there rightful place i.e. NL Central Champions.
P.S. Sammy will need a corked bat just to hit one out of the park. You see he is not used to the pressure of the playoffs. He might just need "extra push" to get him over the hump.:D

its about time, almost everyone has been atleast to the big game..quit choking guys. and dont compare yourselves to a lovable loser team liek cubs..go and win..atleast appear in the world series once.
