Myabe they should have used the corked bats as you suggest. After all Mark Grace (remeber him, used to play for the cubs) said "you aint trying if you aint cheating" when asked about Sammy's cork bat. Just goes to show you the nature of that organization.
What is the use of harping on apperaing in the world series when it was almost 100 years ago. Astros have been in existence less than 45 years and probably have made playoffs more than cubbies (I might be wrong on this) but what the heck.
We will see what happens after this week drubbing of the cubbies at the hands of the might braves.
See teh basic difference is that I dont think cubs are that great of a team to begin with, so however far they make it, its kewl.
However, according to you astros are like this centuries' brooklyn dodgers..and I am only indicating that they are a pretty average run of the mill team which shows in their inability to go beyond a certain level..
its liek comparing a Yugo to a trabant, makes it look good..however there are bentleys around. :)
Oh no Fraudia paii jaan, I agree 100 % Astros are "Andhoo main Kana Raja". They are an average team and will remain so as long as that looser Drayton Mclane owns them.

did you see that pitching? thats all I hafta say, if they keep this up, they are goign to the world series,,whether they will win or not is a diff story.
the difference however is that Cubs did more than anyone thought thy were capable of doing and have surpassed expectations, Yankees would have to win in a major way to surpass expectations. I am hoping for a cubs-yankees myself knowing that cubs will most likely lose but it will be a more entertaining match than yankees fileting the marlins
Well, I would hope for an exciuting series. Yankees still have a while to go before the world series. I think Cubs are in great prosition, with that pitching, if they meet, would be a great battle.
I just used that sig because FF had something of his as her sig and was passing it off as a novel item.
Wt do you think the pitching rotation will be for cubs during NLCS? We know Zimbo and prior and pitching the first and second game.. now who should pitch the third game... Wood or Clement? I will go with Wood. This will give them a chance to pitch the last two games with the best pitching available.
Game 1 Zimbrano
Game 2 Prior
Game 3 Wood
Game 4 Clement
Game 5 Zimbo
Game 6 Prior
Game 7 Wood.
Kaleem yaar, how can you say it has been lifted? They were there in 1999, only to lose in 5 games to the Yanks. I envision another winter of discontent in New endland.
