As long as the makeup part is concerned. I have seen many brides cry & no makeup gets ruined. Even our makeup artists know that they have to do a waterproof job.
In my case I actually got more emotional when my brother & mother were walking me out to the hall than my rukhsati. It was so weird. All of a sudden I had tears in my eyes & I couldn't move forward & my brother as cute as he is thought there was something wrong with my lehnga & offered to hold it for me while I walk.
Rukhsati time I was pretty sure I won't cry. Coz we had already gone through the whole crying & being emotional thing at home once. But then when we were walking out my younger brother who is only 10 & is really attached with me started getting all serious. He would look at me & then look down. Then look at me again & look down. That really struck me hard & then when he hugged me I just broke down.
Funny thing is when I look at the video a lot of people cried that I would have never expected. Some of my younger male cousins even had tears in their eyes.
My best friend who happens to be Agha Khani was amazed as they don't have a Rukhsati concept & she has never seen a bride or her family cry before. For her it was a little to filmy.
