well in my case, it works out great. my wife and mom can only talk with each other in english, and my mom can't emote anger in angrezi. :D (not that she's had any reasons to so far).
but seriously, we like each other's cultures and foods. the only trouble we've had so far is from the idiot airportwalay in india asking a zillion questions before flying.
