I had 2 godiva’s truffles in each ivory box, with a champagne ribbon…
crushed champagne colored double sided tissue lined inside the box…

the flavors were
milk amaretto
milk tiramisu
dark cappuccino
dark grand mariner
dark champagne

i mixed and matched for each favor box

Re: Wedding Favors/Favours

Was that for a muslim wedding Chanda as the chocolates you mentioned have alcohol in them, don't they???

Hi we had ambala ladoos in these fantastic boxes which we gave out on the mehndi and for the children we wrapped sweets in cellophane (the stuff u get from the florist) and put some cute ribbons on them. and on the valima we had these beautiful gold heart shaped boxes which had personalised chocolates, sugered almonds and gold heart shaped chocs. i’ve posted the pictures below.

What do you guys think of these

1.75 oz. Photo Hearts Valentine’s Day assortment from Russell Stover’s Valentine’s Day Collection

I m thinking about ordering these for my favors & then tying a cute ribbon on the box with a tiny thank you note.

Re: Wedding Favors/Favours

is yours a valentine's day themed wedding?

Re: Wedding Favors/Favours

Got it right SGC. Its all about different shades of reds & pinks. Lots of candles. Romantic setting with dim lights (if my mom lets me & the little buggers dun ruin it) Read my post in the wedding decor thread & you 'll get an idea.

Re: Wedding Favors/Favours

babes im justwondering favours for each and every guest and kids too OH MY GOD heh
back here in karachi the favours are a lil different.

For my best friends mehndi we gave our group of friends and all her cousins beautiful chiffon tye and dye kameez and dupattas in shades of yellows and ferozis. and all the boys and dad and brothers and cousins ferozish kurtas in a beautiful chunri bag in ferozi color.
We justgave them the cloth and told them the date of the mehndi they shoudl wear it (they got the stitchingdone themselves)
when they came for the mehndi we gave the girls gajras made out of tuberoses in colors of white and ferozi. Infact all the ladies and kiddies attending got gajras. the boys got mustard patkas (jamavar cloth)
for the inlaws we had made extra esp gajras and haars in teh same colors. but for the groom the big haar was made in colors of offwhite and peachish flowers tuberoses again. and his patka was green with allmotiya flowers sewn on them.

my friend was wearing an out of this world beautiful white sharara and kameez and a long long dupatta with silver work done all over and a big peach jamavar dupatta on her hands hats off to the designer for makingsuch a beautiful outfit.

gotten teh stage done with peach flowers and wooden background kept it simple so the focus can be the bride. It was out of this world teh whole mehndi theme was amazing.

On the day of the nikkah we got a samall thumb size decoration porcelain box which could open and close only for 120 rs and inside we put in a small chocolate and thanked teh guests for being there. This was for everyone. this was giveaway gift thatu can easily place in ur house as a secoration pc as well as to use as a jewellery box for yr rings and chains. i use it for that and its white with diff colors on it.

neways depends upon whats yr budget and how much uwanttospend . But the mehndi thing was great. uhave somuch to remember when u loook back :)

too much talk

I made small "batwa's" and people helped me put "gota" on them.. they were filled with bangles and chocolates for a cousins wedding.

except for the gajra's because they tend to be pricey here, the same things happen here too as in pakistan... mehendi favors are bangles or suits for the girls, and usually dupattas for the boys, and on the wedding, everyone gets a favor of some sort. did it for my own mehendi and wedding, and have seen it done for everything other wedding i've attended here. whats the difference?

Re: Wedding Favors/Favours

sgc it must be so expensive though but in a way its also so very thoughtful that u thought about each and every guest attending yr wedding and in a way thanking them for being there :)
the batwa idea is so very nice as well :)

btw ive never attended a wedding abroad i wish i could itll be fun
