Goal: To lose weight.
programme length: 2 weeks (can be prolonged if people are really interested)
PLAN: If you want to join, just post everyday a small reply here or pm me on what you ate that day and what you did for exercise.(my inbox is completely empty for this case :o ) 1 or 2 lines are enough, and I will drop you a message back.
This will keep everyone motivated. If you join and stop replying after 2/3 days I ll spam your inbox till you join again!
First things first.
If you want to lose weight, you will have to pay attention to things you do and especially the things you eat. You are not alone and If you dont focus it will only damage your self esteem.
You will need to excersize AND enjoy the pleasures of a diet. So if you want to join, try to stay motivated, ask questions here or pm.
DIET!!!
Its crap ke one should eat pills or shakes and those kind of things. Most of these things arent healthy and do not work. Besides that they are expensive
Just cut back on unhealthy things, like fried and oily things. This will make ALOT of difference
NOT ALLOWED:
Fried things, like pakore s, fish fingers, french fries, Burgers, Pizza, milkshakes etc. everything classified as junkfood is out of the question.
If you eat out with friends, try to look for something more healthy, like sandwiches or salads.
-At home: Dont go for parathe’s and cut back on oily food. Eat regular roti s without ghe. Often desi families like to use a galon of oil/ghee a week, but try to cut back on this. It is not only healthy but it s cheaper aswell . Perhaps the food wont taste that good for some days, but you ll get used to it!!!
Try to eat a salad with every dinner.
Cut back on sugar. Alot of pakistani people like 2/3 spoons of sugar in their tea. Try one!! It does make a difference.
Snacks: chips, chocolat bars, candy. Instead eat fruits. Oranges, apples, banana, kino any kind of fruit is prevered over this.
Try to eat atleast ONE PIECE OF FRUIT everyday.
eat three times a day: breakfast-lunch-dinner. NO sweet things in between!
Dont ever try to eat extra because it tastes good. it requires alot of control, but its for your own good!
VERRY IMPORTANT: do NOT eat after 8:30 PM. Feeling hungry? try fruit.
No food before sleeping!
EXERCISE:
every day some exercise!!! Even if its for 20 mins.
Best exercise is to wake up in the morning and going for a walk or run. (on an empty stomack ) or 2/3 hours after dinner!
There is special exercise for every part of the body. running or walking (fast) is an overal workout.
Do u want a sixpack or a flat tummy? Stomack is the hardest part btw. Crunches everday! if you can keep up with a diet and continue doing crunches, InshaAllah within 3/4 months your stomack will be as flat as an african long distance runners!
It all sounds really hard and all but thats crap. You wanna lose weight? You do some work for it. Everyone can lose weight.
It will be weird and hard for first few days and perhaps even for the whole week.
But after that, once you are used to it, you wont want anything else.
I lost 13 kgs .
I wake up every morning and run for 30 mins. ( InshaAllah next year I m running in Lahore marathon) If I dont run, I dont feel comfortable anymore

Okie I'll post here...I;m dedicated this time...this friend of mine (LADY) told me I looked like a "bombshell" today...and my mister handsome agreed with her....just 2 weeks fo exercise and eating right...;)
So yeh cout me in..though I treated my female friend (who I;ve known since kindergarden) to starbucks sorta valentines thing, brownie and all...but that's about it. Lunch was veggie soup and an apple and dinner was a salad with grilled chicken, breakfast was tea (no sugar) with a plain rusk.
Tiday no gym but I did go for a 40 min brisk walk.

That is so funny…I never heard of that one before. But if a person marry’s you for what you look like and not who you are then…thats crap! Although that is how our society is. Don’t worry Mr. Right is going to walk in while ur eating samosay.

alright today i ate a slice of cake in breakfast.. then i had to go to this party whr i ate biryani, achar ghost, and palak ghosht.. then lots of angooor.. and then in meetha i ate kajar ka halwa then i went to a grocery store where i ate mms candies.. but i just saw ur thread so insahllah from tommorow i will be carefull..

This is what I am doing already: workout 3/4 times a week. I cant seem to get a workout in on school days. So I do 30 mins cardio, legs, abs and bis/tris on tue/thurs/sun and just cardio on sat. Food is not that great though: I been eating like a horse: refer to my thread on PMS..Ladies and Food for more info :( Anyhow, I dont think 2 weeks will be ok InshaAllah.

as-salamualikum, can someone please tell me the method of doing crunches, i have tried but i dont know if i am doing them in the right manner....also are sit ups ok for a woman to do?

DAY 1(for me):
Breakfast+Lunch altogether @ 11:30
1 glass of Grapefruit Juice and a glass of water
1 chapati + half cup of daal and sabzi + half cup of salad.
havent done any excercise yet but will be doing in the afternoon..
GALS please share what u eat the whole day so i will get some healthy ideas :)
