nurofen, hot drinks (not supposed to drink tea/coffee but i can’t live without tea), keep eating, and CURAHEAT PATCHES!!
these are a godsend, they let me actually get of the house when i’d otherwise be sitting at home with a hot water bottle. continuous heat for hours!
Re: cramps

Re: cramps
I used to get them so bad that I fainted once or twice from the pain. Aleve works wonders. Tylenol is ok, Midol never worked for me. The best thing I ever had was when I was in high school, a friends mother gave me a valium- this isnt something that I'd ever recommend or give to anyone (its a bad and addictive narcotic) but man-o-man. She gave me that pill, I took it and life was so very very nice for about 6 hours. Stick to aleve, its legal, its not addictive and its not a narcotic!
Re: cramps
^LOL mama!
i fainted once too; my mum couldn't believe it was because of the pain though, as she never experienced such bad period pains. and in my late teens the muscular cramps were so bad in my lower abdomen and thighs that i could barely walk up and down stairs. my friends were so great though, helping me between classes and stuff.
Re: cramps
this time i got the periods and there is no pain at all:S is that normal lol..
valium is banned in dubai..
Re: cramps
I have very bad cramps whenever it's that time of the month so my doctor prescribed Naproxen. I only started using it last month and it seems to be working, I take 1-2 days before periods start to eliminate the pain completely!
Re: cramps
panadol works for me.
Well, active muscles produce lactic acid due to anaerobic repiration.N this acid cause irritation of the nerves thats why we feel pain...pain killer should be used i guess.
Re: cramps
Midol for the pain.
Midol + Hot pads if terrible cramping.
Ice cream for comfort and to get my mind off the pain.
Re: cramps
Hylands menstrual cramps are a homeopathic remedy that work for me.

Re: cramps
YOu take a walk. Trust me, the more active you are the better it is for the cramps. That's my solution.
