Whatever you guys explain or say, in my opinion, and in the opinion of a few billion people across the world, covering a woman from head to toe in the name of religion demonstrates ignorance, discrimination and narrow-mindedness.

Hopefully, human race will evolve and these people will realize their folly very soon.

A few billion also take the cow as their mother, when do you think they will realize that "folly"?

Just because the mass is stupid, dosn't mean you have to be also.

Sweet arrogance

looking at the dress of the time.. you can work out why there wasn't a spefic edict telling men to cover themselves up...

because they did... with the long 'toab'

and since all of them were covered.. there was no need to specificly tell them that you need to cover up..

Men are supposed to cover themselves up.. the small allowance made was that they can take the top (shirt off) if they covered from navel to knees was to allow them to do manual labour.. try doing any manual labour wearing the dresses the saudi princes wear.. it just cannot be done..

GFQ & othes ,More Info from another muslim site.
There are scientific explanation for many islamic tenents BUT i dont want to go that route nor do i challenge to prove evey islamic edicts on PRESENT scientific Degree of achievements!Psychology of male & female sexsuality does support purdah concept its only question of IJTIDAD what degree we have to adapt to modern times of women in work place & industrialized mechanised Society.Who says Islam is static ,its basic tenents are eternal ,final & unchallenged ,its only obvious technicality of sun rise sunset in both global poles, long iftar period in extreme western hemispheres ,which are new situations which inshallah will be easily sorted ,as long as basic principles of islam is maintained.

Why male dont have inconvenience of period,PMS,pregnancy,???menshould suffer equally?

The basic tenent is in every bilogical ways women are different BUT IN RIGHTS AS INDIVIDUAL THEY ARE EQUAL.

The question of two witness in place of one man is also buried in the hormonal changes occuring in women once a month during which there is a “temporary psychosis like conditiion of brain in women related to peaks of oestrogen & progesterone in the menstrual cycle”.Just to avoid loss of memory, transient PMS which is every women can attest is the least productive period due to mental irritability,
forgeretfullness,

insomnia
lack of concentrartion ,

in such onditionn just to doubly make sure that account is accurate two women who are at different menstrual period compliment the trestimony.

Islam the Religion, must be separated from Islamic traditions. Islam the Religion does not change from country to country or person to person but traditions can vary. If your family has a tradition of covering women from head to toe, go ahead and follow that but don't tell me that the religion says that because that would be total nonsense and I have given references to that in my previous post in this thread.
