good step, though i dont use facebook, had deleted my account more than 2 years ago due to somewhat similar reasons
no matter how much Pakistanis contributed to FB’s revenue, this single action of theirs - that is, taking sides with enemies of Islam and our beloved Prophet 
- is more than enough to ban it, our govt should also record protest with the US where the headquarters of FB are and where its hosted, because this was US’ job to stop any such activity at an early stage, which they did not.
there are more to life guys, facebook should remain banned now permanently, also ban hi5, fanbox, orkut and similar sites…people are wasting too much time on this crap
ps: and by the way, this was Court’s step not Govt’s at their own, court had to kick our govt to do this, i hope now govt take further step without anyone filing another case and without people coming to streets
Why can't they empower their govenemnt to make a collective response to that which is, essentially, a collective assult on them?
Assessing public support is easy enough...a simple poll would do...I highly doubt public opinion would be far from the courts.
the correct way for collective response is through elected lawmakers. the courts should not be in the business of public support.
im betting that in a week or two whatever public support there is for blocking facebook will wane, atleast amongst the active users. should the court then change its ruling because it doesnt reflect public opinion? you'll just have people accessing the site through proxies as used to be the case for blogspot.

if this is the logic they are going to act on, then they should probably ban google too, because there will be numerous sites that will give access to those pictures and all of them could be found with google.
