Re: Country shutdown plan - stage 1: Faisalabad
Protesting is a democratic right and there is nothing wrong about it. *Every party has done this in the past and you know this very well.
*
No it's the govt failure for the lack of response to IK demands which has led him to come out on roads. You are forgetting that PTI gave more than a year to this government to address the issue of election rigging and trial those who were responsible.
IK only goal was Election Reforms and Accountability, and he did not do this straight away, but waited, went through different channels and after giving fair amount of time when he did not get any result, he decided to come out on road to build pressure on the government.
Now one would think if Govt has nothing to be afraid then these delay tactics would certainly puts doubt on the credibility of the government. There is not even a fraction of doubt that every Party has now agreed and openly admitted that yes rigging did take place but we still support this rotten system.
IK wants is to ensure that this does not happens again in the future. He has exhausted all the routes and failed to get justice which is why he is on the road now. Like I said before since there is no other way for Imran Khan, the only way is with the power of the people to put pressure on the Government.
Yes he may have some weaknesses, who doesn't have, but at least** his intentions are not wrong*, **he is not exploiting the system* and neither he will let others exploit it. He is putting in every effort to make the system right, to which, we are always complaining about but no one has ever stood up and challenged it. And now when someone has rightly challenged it, we start to blame him.
Arrest him? for what? for speaking out the truth...and what about those who looted, plundered and abused the country for years, should they not be in jail for looting common man hard earned money...
This old rotten system needs to go now..
Could not disagree with what you wrote in red.
Protesting is fine but not at the expense of hurting people of the country and country at large. That is where IK is absolutely wrong.
If you say other parties did that, then it does not mean it is right. Wrong argument. What happened to the slogan of "change" when he is doing the same what others did?
If he is not exploting the system then he is not even using the system, which is to go back to indoor parlimanet building and using "Vote of No confidence" type of movement.
Why destroy the country's economy and bring people on streets?
Why make an illegal call for not paying taxes which is the ultimate responsibility of every citizen by law?
This is in essence abusing the political power and blackmailing just to get the power.
Pressure by calling for lawlessness? Are you serious or kidding?
So far what IK has called for people to do is lawlessness.
