Countries & their Cars

Suckiness is not a big deal. Many think Ford and Dodge cars also suck, but thats a personal opinion. Some really cool cars are "assembled" in Pakistan (all those Civics, Corollas, Suzukis etc) and this being done since mid-80's, so not sure whats the big hooplah about. So Indians design their own cars, sometimes. Great. More power to you. But aren't Indians lately also going into the "assembly" route? So there is nothing wrong with that, either. You let someone else do all the R&D.

Not sure who did the core R&D for Hindustani and Ambassador earlier.

Faisal Bhai,

Not denying any accusations above, I totally agree with you, but it was the suckiness part in heart beat's post that got me riled.

Its like living in a glass house and throwing stones at others.

Thats all, nothing else.

You forgot Porsche, which is also owned by VW, same like Audi.

You forgot the Noble M12 GTO3

Have a look!

Some Hi-res images.

I don't think Porsche is "owned" by VW. Porsche is still independently owned, but it collaborates with VW a lot. The tiptronic transmission used by VW/Audi is developed by Porsche and is licensed by VW. Atleast thats what I have been told.

VW was started as a company to manufacture budget cars by the owner of Porshe.

This site provides a complete history.

Its a pity you cant even see sarcasm even when its hitting you in your face!!!!
its funny u say this since you really didn't understand the 'sarcasm' which was reflected in my first reply to you which unfortunately u failed to understand.

on a side note if sarcasm would hit me i would feel it..i doubt if i can actually SEE it.

Secondly I did not ask that question, someone else did, and when you came up with a Smartass reply, I could not resist the reply, and had to wake you up from your deep slumber.
call it a smartass reply or whatever..it is the reality (unless you would like to share ur opinion which you haven't done so far). he wanted to know why the indian cars weren't mentioned and i gave him an honest (straight forward) reply which was hard for you to swallow. and instead of giving any reason u started what u just did. deep slumber??? as far as i can see you didn't really give me a reason for why this whole
debate started.

if you would have been more practical and perhaps original, you could have said that we are on our way and something along those lines. a bit more constructive and rational approach would have made a lot of difference. learn to face criticism with a positive attitutde. tomorrow if somebody says you something similar ur reply would be "well ur cars suck too..or..atleast we can manufacture these low standard cars". hope u get the point.

I dont know what country you reside in, but in the middle east, uk, eastern europe, you will find quite a few Indian cars on the roads.
what are you trying to prove? so if they are being sold in these countries: they don't suck?? is this ur reasoning?

and i don't have to reside in a particular country to know how a particular car is built.

Now my dear friend without Flattery or Sarcasm, can you say the same about Pakistani Automobiles, and if not can you please educate me, as to why not???
u are missing the whole point intentionally or not.... this was not the issue. whats the comparison for? was this the issue? to remind you
again the issue was why weren't the indian cars not mentioned? if you have a better answer than mine please share that with everyone. don't bring up other issues which are not related.

if you are that interested in pak automotive sector (which u seem to be)
then open up a separate thread in the appropriate forum to discuss "Automotive Sector in Pakistan" and I am sure you will get a lot of replies.

it seems you are the one who ended up taking the offense.

Lets take our discussion off this thread, We are doing nothing but derailing it.

Feel free to PM me if you want to further discuss the issue.

Nice gizzy, thats a fine car.

hmm - no one mentioning

 • the smoky 2 stroke Trabant.
 • the incredibly mighty 8.8 litre Romer V-10
 • the stupid ass Volga

Orca C113 - The new supercar from Switzerland, is bound to create a new phenomenon.

Lotec Sirius from germany is about to cause even a bigger sensation :)

Lotec sirius has been out for quite some time now. It has a Mercedes engine.

Yes very true, in fact it's from the early 90's, the guy has worked on it on a very tight budget, thats why it's taken so long to come finally into production. That design does put a lot of the modern supercars in the shade. He's an old hat at taking merc engines to new heights.
