So the COAS along with the leadership from Paky Navy and Air force attended the funeral of those killed in helicopter crash. Not a single representative from the government was seen there yet opportunistic muffers have the bloody gall to say why Army is ‘seen and heard’ everywhere.

Prejudicial haters will continue to hate Pakistan army for lots of underlying issues but it’s leadership and initiatives like these that make Pakistanis (yes Pakistanis not overseas Indians or dual citizenship holding ethnic Pakistanis) appreciate and honour their very own army.

Yawn didn’t even know who Sabeen Mehmud was before her death, I never witnessed Dawn elaborately highlighting her ‘services and ideas’. But after her death, it was absolutely pathetic and sickening how - that glorified blogpress which tries to pass as a news site - cashed her death. Writing crass, self pitying, emotional twaddle to join the bandwagon to polish its own brand.

Dawn website obviously caters to overseas Pakistanis who look for self pitying click bait articles. It’s an interesting website if you are looking for cultural commentary or if you want to learn about the origins of Paye or Nihari or find out more interesting cafe’s in Karachi. Other than that, that website is an insult to real journalism and news reporting. People in Pakistan hardly care about print media any more.

Technically speaking this is not a simile, and I don’t like correcting people’s grammar on the internet, but only on this occasion, I shall correct you and say that it’s metaphor.

Anyway. If I don’t have a functional kitchen knife, and I am at the risk of dying of malnutrition or starvation, I rather use the chainsaw to cut that watermelon open, and revitalise myself than pass out. Hope you got the allegory.
