Re: Corps commanders take notice of RAW’s involvement in Pakistan
The administration civil/military needs to bring the evidence in front of media to prove it and to backup their claims. Enough with this vague blame game. Either u show the evidence if u have some or don’t just issue blank statements.
Re: Corps commanders take notice of RAW’s involvement in Pakistan
Of course they would. Once you get the lath for power, you would want it again and again.
I meant smart, thinking and educated people suggest army as a solution to democracy. Its not like the pains Pakistan is going through are unique. Many other democracies went through the same thing and survived coz the educated class decided to stay engaged and the army was kept at bay.
Re: Corps commanders take notice of RAW’s involvement in Pakistan
Many of the so-called educated on this site are affiliated with the armed forces (mainly army?), so who would want to kick their benefactors that gives them tax free status, DHAs, lands and fauji foundations?
OTOR, the inept politicians are providing err inviting the army in affairs of govt be it foreign policy or operations in karachi. We don’t know how imran as PM would behave, though I am giving him the benefit of the doubt considering his immature behavior, but the noon and PPP league are useless parties.
Re: Corps commanders take notice of RAW’s involvement in Pakistan
Likewise, typically it is usually people who belong to certain backgrounds and localities who try to paint Pakistan Army as an enemy. They have their prejudiced anti army agenda for obvious reasons.
Re: Corps commanders take notice of RAW’s involvement in Pakistan
Yes many of modern democracies had to execute their Kings, jail them or send them on exile - start bloody revolution or go through a civil war to bring democracy. So why cry blue murder when Pakistanis take on the streets to protest against a corrupt government and stand up for their rights?
I remember how some opportunistic arm chair critics rushed to protect Nawaz Sharif’s honour when Imran tried to grab him by his throat. All these Western countries had seen episodic struggles in the face of riots and rebellion and blood revolutions to bring the change. The usual dim wits who cry about boots having easy influence behind the curtains, do they remember the time how they moaned and whined when bunch of people came out of the streets to demand investigation into electoral rigging? What do they know about appreciating people’s power and grass root movements.
As with keeping army at bay, the army is indeed at bay. In PTI’s 130 of days of dharna, I can think of at least 20 instances where military could’ve brought coup. So haters should go easy on their boy who cried wolf antics.
Re: Corps commanders take notice of RAW’s involvement in Pakistan
Wrong. Pointing out fups of army which lead to breakup and inducing other evils is not sin or making yu prejudice. Supporting every idiotic and stupid move by the army is not sincerity with the country. After all before 1971 West Pakistanis supported the army and its brutal actions against Bengali and what were the results???
Re: Corps commanders take notice of RAW’s involvement in Pakistan
Oh so awesome lovers of democracy!!
U fruiting kidding me? What we have in pakistan is not democracy. Stop equating electoral process with democracy for fruits sake!!!
All the shizz the army did - it had equal contribution from the politicians. So it is utterly retarded to pinpoint on one of the two to be more responsible for the crap pakistan has suffered.
Re: Corps commanders take notice of RAW’s involvement in Pakistan
Of course. You have to be an idiot to support Army’s idiotic moves. Musharraf should not be forgiven- at all- for bringing leeches like Benezir and Nawaz Sharif back through NRO. He had absolute power and ample time to strengthen judiciary which was strong enough to take on those criminals and bring Pakistan’s looted wealth back, but he didn’t. Zia’s stupid mistake of hanging Bhutto made PPP relevant for the next 30 years whereas uninterrupted rule of Zardari managed to do with PPP what Zia couldn’t remotely achieve. Ironically, all establishment had to do was to give current PPP some breathing space to ensure it dies it’s own natural death through people’s votes. So they are learning their lessons and credit must be given.
Once again, kudos to army for resisting the temptation to bring coup when Imran was hellbent on toppling the government through people’s power. No more silly mess ups. No more political martyrdom for any party. Stay out and stay alert.
Re: Corps commanders take notice of RAW’s involvement in Pakistan
whopeee doo…a whole 130 days on the sidelines..lets give them a badge for that…
they were not kept at bay..they stayed on the sidelines… notice the difference? there in lies the problem…there is too much power concentrated in an unelected entity…that people feel peace and order comes at their magnanimity… if we want to have a robust successful democracy, we need to move away from this mindset..not towards it
Re: Corps commanders take notice of RAW’s involvement in Pakistan
Except democracy doesn’t lie in the mindset, it lies in the system! If we want to have robust democracy, we need an electoral system that holds zero tolerance to rigging and leaders are produced through fair counting of people’s votes, and strong opposition parties to keep governments in check. Simply making people of Pakistan woefully contemptuous of their own army is not the answer. Our enemies would like us to do that, but Pakistanis should know their circumstances better and make reasonable and balanced assessment.
Re: Corps commanders take notice of RAW’s involvement in Pakistan
Yes, if you gonna go around painting Pakistan army the biggest hurdle and an almost an enemy like entity, then do give that ‘woopdee doodoo badge’ for staying away from taking control when country was on the brink of civil war. Those who know the thing or two about Pakistan would know what a significantly symbolic that period was and how it defined the role of Pakistan army for future references like never before. What an incredibly and absolutely historic break from the past tradition and mistakes those 130 days were.
Re: Corps commanders take notice of RAW’s involvement in Pakistan
Bhaia, In Pakistan there is only one “holy cow” i.e. Army. And its so much in lust of power that it has stormed in almost every decade since 60s. and Pakistanis are so used to it now that when there is no martial-law we say, hey lets give huge credit for them for NOT coming into power as if it was their born right to overthrow the elected govt but they did a HUMONGOUS favour on our generations by not fulfilling it.
And yes our politicians are equally bowed down too, they can give a 100+day long dharna over the container but wont hesitate a bit to ride in a Prado to GHQ when summoned with a victorious smile and a victory sign as if they can proudly submit the accomplishment of given tasks.
And guess what, if God-forbid you ever, like ever ever dare to point out the wrongdoings (Astaghfirullah) of dear holy-cow, You must be have a hidden agenda, must be a RAW agent or ghaddar etc etc. So ya, better get ready to be face the same fate as Saleem Shehzad or Sabeen Mehmud. Yup, no mercy for traitors!!
Re: Corps commanders take notice of RAW’s involvement in Pakistan
People like you and their venomous mentality against army is the problem. Stop making it sound like GHQ is an enemy territory. Imran went to meet *his own * army chief, not a bloody Indian general! He’s a Pakistani, so is the Army chief and GHQ is in Pakistan. The GHQ is the property of Pakistan. So what they had met? Why do people like you want politicians to be at war with army men? The entity which is fighting a war with with numerous internal terrorists organisations and dastard neighbouring states states an enemy organisation for people like you?
Instead of crying why Imran went to meet his own army chief, answer why the so called democratic and civilian government needed army chief to mediate an electoral dispute? Where was the supreme court in all that? Why they didn’t take a single notice to resolve the conflict?
Yet we had idiots on this forum who wanted Imran to call off his movement upon receiving investigation guarantee from the Chief. So much wailing still takes place over a flipping meeting, imagine had he went home after that meeting, likes of you would’ve called him traitor and what not.
PS: Make your mind up for goodness sake: either stick to blabbering how army is the most powerful entity with no self control when it comes to wasting no opportunity to take over or don’t trivialise and mock the restrain they showed when they could’ve done what they do normally do. These flip flopping with double standards makes no sense.
Re: Corps commanders take notice of RAW’s involvement in Pakistan
Again wrong. In the guise of this fraud NRO by dictator he quashed thousands of criminal cases agains AH and his cronies. Being a Muhajir he fully supported the criminals and gave a new lease of life to mqm. Had he not issued NRO, BB would have still be alive, Zardari would have still be in Dubai.
