simply innocent, you are innocent :) That dress has not just been sprayed with mukesh alone, she has put in a lot of time, effort and detail in the kaam, and i think Proto did a wonderful job.

well if 1 cant afford a 6lac dress there r cheaper options out dere.....im sure dis bunto copy would also cost arnd 1lac smt n trust me my cuzin jus got her bridal dress frm sana safinaz for 1.. it was frm there formal line n she jus made the formal dress wid dhaka pajama...d shirt is full of work.... d replicas r not even close to buntos work so why not buy smt original in price of a copy ? har kisi ki apni view hota hai..... =)

yes well, that's your perspective. you can buy from anyone you wish...no one asked you to buy a replica. the people who have proto replicate have their own views and its their business.

actually you are wrong…a very close friend wore an original bunto design on her wedding and she had a replica for her walima. I was at both events and got to survey both outfits even prior to them being worn…
another family member wore a bunto original for their nikah and its likely that she will wear another original for her wedding reception next year.
as for the exorbitant cost of LV et al bags…I share the same opinion as I do about bunto or HSY or any other original…there simply is no need. the difference between the outfit and the bag is that the outfit makes you look good…and normally with designer bags (thanks to the brand being plastered all over them) it is the bag looking good…not necessarily you.

But I don't think that anyone here is advocating this sort of behaviour. Most people that wear designer replicas in term of desi attire are simply doing it for just that: the "design", the colour combination, the pattern etc. Not because they are out to fool someone, or even themselves, that they are wearing something expensive when they are not.
Those that carry around fake bags are likely doing it for the "street cred" they get for toting around a label. There's nothing more shallow than that, I agree.

so how is a bunto replica that's 1lakh different from any other equally good quality outfit that costs 1lakh? Surely the kaam is excellent and the fabrics are high quality... is it just the design? because even though bunto may have started a certain design....some designs are just so so popular now. The outfits here are absolutely beautiful on their own....
I'm not one for buying big brands by any means, but the way I see it is like this....why would I spend $7 on a Mac lipstick that may be fake when I could just buy Loreal for $7 and know that it's real? If I spent lakhs on a "replica" well I wouldn't call it a replica, it'd be MY WEDDING DRESS..lol.
