Like you want to cook some thing… and dont have recipe.. if you know how long stuff take to cook..
you can start making meat… then you know when around what time to put potato to make our national dish
shorba stuff like that.

You cant just sequence stuff to add based on units you know… you have to think about how flavors meld etc

Your rating of beef is very generic. If you are cooking beef with lentils, steak, haleem, yakhni…they all will take different times

Be a dish specific, not an ingredient specific

it all depends. meats from two different animals of the same species will take different times to cook depending the age of the animal, the tenderizer you use and degree of heat that you use…sometimes, even the utensil you use, it’s metal type and the thickness of it will make a significant/substantial difference in cooking time.
