Budhha was no prophet. But according to Hindu holy books , he was an avtar of god; one among 10 incarnations of god. In fact he was the last known avtar ( 9th out of 10) and 10th is supposed to be coming in future. He preached peace and love and salavaged the Indian civilization from the evils of animal slaughter ( Bali/kurbani ) and many other evils prevalent at that time.

But Islam says he was just messenger of god, not god incarnated! So dont buy the half-cooked stories and dont try to intermingle faiths; I can also blurt out some BS about your faith. But I choose to rafrain. As faith is the reason of very existense of human being. And I would rather not try to hit on others's faith. I would suggest you to do the same.
Peace!

Read again ! I never said that; I talked about faiths and set of belief s and ofcourse system, which is known as religion. And I am asking you to respect others's beliefs. In hiduism avtars are incarnations of god himself. But in Islam ( as far as I know ) prophets are messengers of god, not god himself. SO your statement might hurt any of these two beliefs. I hope things are clear now for you. And ofcourse bottomline is that we all can live in harmony with our concepts of gods , unless we think our way is the best and other's way an inferior one.
Peace!
There were a few muslims in history who were put to death for claiming to be God.. And now they are revered as great saints and sages.
